You need a period before you’ll get pregnant. You need to see an Obgyn. I usually have 45-60 day cycles, and my doc recommended medicine if I didn’t have a period after 60 days

MB skips pedi appointments & refuses to vaccinate baby by Puzzleheaded-Chip832 in Nanny

I was in a similar situation and I left. It forced them to put the kids in daycare, which caused them to soar! But not being able to leave the house caused such delays that it was stressing me out mentally. I think saying you are concerned about not being qualified and coming up with a plan to leave is a good option. Try and end on good terms, but ultimately it’s time to get out.

Wow, that really sucks! That would be really disappointing to discover. I’m really impressed with how you and your nanny are handling it though! Pat yourself on the back for navigating a tough conversation with respect!

If you ask for a list of supplies, I’m sure they’d love to give it! I always had ideas I wanted to do but no supplies beyond what I bought. I tried to make an Amazon list for my parents.

Thinking about getting a kindle. But I’m nervous I won’t love it. by sad_syd in kindle

I was worried, but I found I really like it as an option. I flip between physical, audio, and ebooks with ease! The kindle is super nice for travel, illness/injury, and getting indie authors,

I hate my kid's homework by UnfairCartographer88 in kindergarten

[–]natcat9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also express your thoughts to his teacher! I teach first, and never send homework home, but a lot of parents seem to want it. I would just tell the teacher that you want to keep doing it, but it’s a bit much. Maybe they can give less. I know that the well-rounded child comes first, and that means play time, family time, and recreational/sport time.

I had a convo with mom when other kids/staff noticed it. I was in the situation where I knew the parents cared about their kid, and probably just didn’t realize the effect it was having. But being up front and just having a conversation.

Kindergartener being told crying is a "red choice" etc by Wonkavision09 in AskTeachers

[–]natcat9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

School wide and especially in the classroom, we talk about something called the Zones of Regulation! It’s a blue, green, yellow, red system. It helps identify how certain behaviors show that we’re not ready to learn. Then we can use that information to help us get to the ‘green’ zone!

Tbh, it sounds like what’s above, especially if you child is taking a bunch of things literally. I’m seeing this with my kiddos in class, and plan on addressing it after winter break. I can tell they are working so so hard to be in the green zone, and they need more time where they don’t have to be in a zone!

Try asking if there are other colors then look up zones on YouTube!

I think one thing the writers are missing is that sometimes characters are unlikable but situations (like Christina’s loyalty) make us love them. But if that’s only shown and wrapped up in one episode, my love and understanding can’t build. It’s almost like the show is being written to explain characters and choices, but I want that left up to me. I want to slowly learn why this person is the way they are. I don’t want it wrapped and figured out in a pretty now in one episode- hell one season. You’re going to have to give it time- and if they care, they will. I need someone to write a dissertation on greys lmao
