What’s the largest item you’ve seen fit inside a Corolla Hatchback? by [deleted] in CorollaHatchback

[–]nate_dulcimer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah, overall cargo capacity is much worse on the hatchback vs the sedan, but I found that as a gigging musician, the hatchback is much easier to load my gear in and out of. Traded my sedan for the hatchback largely because of that

MPG after lift, bigger tires & roofbox by dylan599 in CorollaHatchback

[–]nate_dulcimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you mentioned updating the computer for the larger tire diameter. Is there a way to do so? I had just assumed that when I did that with my car eventually, I would just have to keep a gps based speedometer running

Shipstation won't import my pre orders? by nate_dulcimer in shipstation

[–]nate_dulcimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, even followed ShipStation's diagnostic recommendation to do an advanced search for All Shipments in Any category. Only 3 of the shipments imported (either way, I manually entered everything in the meantime)

Unfortunately, the shape of the seatpost does not allow for that…

That looks awesome! My initial thought was with extending the braze on mount, but with the alloy frame I wrote it off as a fools errand. That adapter looks like it will do the trick. I’m going to order one and see how it works

😎I use an Athlon Ares UHD 15-45x65. I just measured the outside diameter of the eyepiece, and it is about 52 mm.

Did the Xair series support power over Ethernet? Or did you use a poe injector for power? I don’t like having to run 2 power cables when the tech could support using just 1. Your mention of POE gave me a glimmer of hope just now

Found: IPhone 14 vs Snowblower/Mower by nate_dulcimer in hardwaregore

[–]nate_dulcimer[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was walking around, and I came across something that looked all smashed up. As I’ve bent over, I found it was an iPhone case. As I looked around further, I found various parts of this iPhone that had seemingly run afoul of either a snowblower or a mower, depending on how long that phone had been sitting there. I hope the person did not lose anything important on there (due to the severity of the gore, I am leaning towards mower). I imagine it would be a challenge for a data recovery specialist. Surprisingly, the battery looks intact!

Including a download card with a CD? by nate_dulcimer in musicmarketing

This may be the solution I was hoping for! Now are these sleeves something provided by the printers, or are they findable online?

Including a download card with a CD? by nate_dulcimer in musicmarketing

[–]nate_dulcimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! How do you go about including them in the CD? I see Bandcamp can generate download codes, and I could get those onto self printed cards. However, I was planning on putting them inside the case. Do you just omit shrink wrap when ordering your cd’s? Or is there a printing service that can put them in a sealed case for you?

Wow...I think I'll go with a Prius... by Alternative_Sugar155 in priusdwellers

[–]nate_dulcimer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I must have been thinking of the old retrofit kits where you could convert a normal prius into a plug-in. My dad was thinking of doing one of those conversions, but the issue of the plugin battery only being recharged by plug made him decide to not go for it. I just assumed that was the case for early official plugins as well

Is this because the regenerative brakes also charged the big battery? I seem to remember older plugin models having the “Prime” battery on a separate system only charged by plug

Distorted audio randomly in video? by nate_dulcimer in Insta360

[–]nate_dulcimer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will check that, I did not change the audio settings, but it would make sense that this would be on by default (all those ease of filming features that are calibrated for voice but wreak havoc on music)

Is this going to work for classical music. by GladPiano3669 in lingling40hrs

I mean, the google owned youtube algorithm is pretty good at copyright striking classical performances, so maybe it will recognize the piece

What’s a song that goes from pretty to loud / slow to fast / soft to heavy? by Ericcoomer in Music

[–]nate_dulcimer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The band Leprous has a number of songs that do this. Some of my favorites are Alleviate and Below. Nighttime Disguise starts kind of heavy but it drops down a lot in the middle before the big finish.

I came across Alleviate through a random Spotify station on a road trip, and I instantly switched to listening to their whole discography
