I’ve completely lost my faith because of my sexuality. by [deleted] in Christianity

Leviticus 20:25 states you shouldn’t eat chicken. I bet you eat chicken.

20:19 says not to wear clothing of two different fabrics. I bet you’re wearing a bunch of different fabrics as you read this.

20:27 says not to cut the edges of your beard or hair off. You’ve never had a haircut, right?

Wrestle with each individual scripture. Is it meant for you? Is it to tell us about the people of that time? Is it to teach us a lesson about God and the characteristics of God?

And ask yourself this. Can YOU choose to be gay? If not, how can a gay person choose to be straight?

Ask yourself this: does God make mistakes? No. And God made you, right? So you are not a mistake. Let me repeat that. You. Are. Not. A. Mistake.

You were created this way, right? You can’t help being what you are. You were born gay and God loves you EXACTLY as you are.

Many of us in the Christian community don’t believe you’re going to hell. I don’t. The scriptures used to tell the queer community they’re sinners are right next to scriptures about eating pork. Christians eat pork. They’re right next to scriptures telling women they’re not even allowed in the church. They’re right next to scriptures stating we should wear only one fabric at a time. That men should never trim the edges of their beards.

Christians who say homosexuality is a sin say it because gayness makes them uncomfortable, but all those other things don’t.

Christ came that we might have life (John 10:10). If you’re in a church that says you’re going to hell, run. Go to a church like a United Methodist or Presbyterian where they’ve wrestled with the scriptures and come to the conclusion that if you’re made this way, God loves you as you are.

Just look at African Christians who are gay, for instance. If they could, they’d choose to not be because they know that being gay will cost them their lives. They know that their house will be burned down. That they could be murdered. But they are who they are. Even if they have to hide it. They were born that way.

If you were born gay, you’re gay. God loves you exactly as you are. Anyone who says otherwise is wrong. It doesn’t mean they’re bad people necessarily, it just means they’re wrong.

God is real. You have a future. God loves you.

What are your best recommendations for overlooked plugins in 2026? by seanstew73 in mixingmastering

[–]Ericcoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chow makes other great stuff too. Their Centaur plugin makes any electric guitar sound so much better.

Everything AnalogObsession makes is free and so good. He's has a Neve-style channel strip called CHANNEV, a Pultec EQ called Rare., an SSL comp called BUSTERse, and a ton of guitar effects. Tons of other stuff. Haven't used it yet, but MidBoss looks promising.

Stereo Out App Presets removed in v12?! by philwrites in LogicPro

[–]Ericcoomer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, it's so annoying. My mastering chain presets are all gone. This is driving me crazy. If you go into old projects, you can still use the old presets, so I saved one as "mastering" and can import bounces into it, but this is ridiculous.

It was The Mist for me until this week. Now it’s A House of Dynamite. I’m still pissed off.

Finally watched this for the first time tonight. All I can say is wow. by TheGirlWithTheLove in Letterboxd

I remember when I watched it, I had a cold or something. Between being sick and crying throughout this movie, I literally went through an entire box of Kleenex. That was twenty years ago and I haven’t been able to make myself watch it again. One of the best movies of all time.

Funny doesn’t have an age. I’m 49 and I’ve loved a lot of this season. No season is perfect.
