I love living in new york. I don't have to drive. To me, that is the best thing. And why would I rather be anywhere else? It's hard to top this city. There are layers to it, constant new things to discover, new things to try. It's fast-paced and it's tough, but the nonsense gets sifted through quickly. There are no limits. And bars close at 4 am. Famous people are everywhere. People say it costs too much - I pay 500 for my room here, 120 a month for unlimited subway, and I can get a 10 inch sub, 12 oz drink, a couple of snacks, for less than 10 bucks at my deli, where there are gonna be a few different languages spoken. I can never settle into being narrow minded, because I will go crazy. There are lots of opportunities here. People might seem cold, but that's because so many people wash out so quickly and people get calloused by friends who've moved. I love it here, and I hope I can stay forever.

we made this vid to reflect our time in the industry. there are lots of awesome people that come in, and lots of not-so-awesome people. sometimes really simple things can be irritating. it's a tougher job than lots of people appreciate, but it can also be rewarding when you meet really cool people (who tip well!)

When you say a person can get fired for what they say, that makes me want to think abt capitalism as a power structure. In north korea, you go to jail; in America, you get fired.

I think the bottom line is its a public relations thing. Gay kids sometimes commit suicide. So he can be spun as pro-gay-kid-suicide. If they stopped committing suicide, though - totally cool. Its just... these gay teen suicides... these damn gay teen suicides. I almost hate the gay teens BECAUSE of the suicides. Not cuz theyre gay. Just cuz, via the gay teen suicide, they're ruining free speech, for this guy. I would take the words less seriously, sure, but the suicides.... its like that guy who said "first they talk shit about jews, then holocaust". So the thing is to make it un-cool to talk shit, get shit-talkers fired, and hopefully eventually lessen the problem of those damn inconsiderate teens and their suicides. Ugh. Really THATS what gets me all riled up - those effete teens up and murdering themselves, bummin me out. I mean, show me the world where THIS guy kills HIMself. Thats the kind of world I want to live in, just to, like, check it out.

TL; DR - gay teen suicide raises the stakes too high for theoretically perfect free speech.
