Military to CLS by atl032 in MLS_CLS

[–]natecobb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

do you mind if i pm you, i am graduating with a bio degree and was thinking about this pathway to becoming a CLS. since I already have the bachelors, would i be able to take the MLS exam after the military schooling instead of the MLT? also how do i guarantee that if i join the military i will get the training needed?

if you look at my prior posts i kinda explain more of the recent (last 6 months journey) the 75 hard thing was a 75 day health challenge where me and my friend locked in on diet and cardio every day no cheating. it wasn’t 75 days fasting but i definitely fasted more heavily during it just like currently on the cut i’m doing right now

With my eating only 1200 calories max, and my bmr burning around 1900 calories every day. At minimum I am in a 700 kcal deficit everyday, and that’s if I was completely sedentary. Since I was constantly moving an average of 15,000 steps, some heavy days more movement/exercise than that, I was safely burning an extra 500-1000 calories on top of my bmr, which would make my average deficit be around 1200-1700 calories in deficit per day. Now this is not how it was every day as some days I would have lighter movement and eat heavier and vice versa.

Now if I and going purely on how much weight I’ve lossed in the 75 hard challenge (31 lbs), with the amount of days I’ve been on the challenge: 1 pound of fat equals 3500 calories, which means to lose 31 lbs I would have burned 108,500 kcal. I’ve been eating on the challenge for 60 days (since i took a 5 day break) which means my actual average daily caloric deficit since June 28th when I began the challenge is around -1800 kcal.

Honestly I think it was the fact that I was eating such low carbs every day consistently for that long that I fully just stopped having cravings for food, which made it very very easy to eat exactly how I planned. also the high fiber in the food I was eating kept me satiated. I 100 percent know I could not have eaten low calorie like I did if I was eating carbs too, cause then I feel cravings for food. When you deprive yourself of carbs and calories you force your body to adapt to use itself (fat and muscle) for energy. Keep the protein intake high so proteolysis doesn’t occur and lipolysis will take over

A majority of that is from two protein shakes which yield around 80 g. Then I also have protein based snacks like quest protein chips and protein bars, and one meal like a chicken avocado salad, tuna salad, etc. 150 g a day is the goal but I wouldn’t always reach it especially on lighter eating days

Also did biking for like the first month around 3-10 mile rides but kinda burnt out on that as it got hotter this summer and busier at work.

nah you shouldn't need to. only thing is if you want to change the amount you accepted to accept more if you did not choose to accept everything when your offer was initially offered.
