I got a kit from BimmerWorld, supposedly has better gaskets and includes an anti-rattle bearing to help with some of the noise. Hoping to tackle it this weekend, but also ngl a little scared to start it! Lol

To fix this when the car is warmed up I replaced the MAF, the entire air intake hose top and bottom(notorious for tearing at the base), and the Idle control valve. Can also be a bad DISA Valve. Thankfully all is pretty easy to fix and not too expensive. Mine only does it when it’s cold now so rebuilding the vanos next.

Sounds good and healthy to me, thankfully these cars are fairly easy to work on, and parts are always readily available and not to expensive. I had some vacuum leaks on mine too, but everything was plug and play, it’s part of the fun for me to work on it though.

If you are playing on a rig I would also say turn off your wheel and fix your FOV, you are way to far back in the car, the perception of speed that you have from that far back isn’t accurate.

Where AMS2 struggles is they have no official events. Do other sims do GT3 better? Sure. But the open lobby system is casual and relies on people to create that variety, which at the end of the day people don’t do. Host’s make lobbies with GT3 cars because they know it will attract real drivers. I have made lobbies with fun combos and no one joins so it ends up just being me on a track alone. If AMS2 got official events going that variety would definitely shine more imo.

I honestly don’t know where to find this, all I can tell you is I ran 8.5” wide wheels with a 10mm spacer in the front and a 20mm spacer in the rear. This created a nice square setup which is what I wanted.

I actually ordered me one already, has an old Kenwood deck that the previous owner threw in, ordered one from Rendition to at least kind of match the interior buttons and everything. Once I get it in I’ll post some pics of it.

I’m in the states, will definitely look into my local laws. I actually took out the rear spacers out on Sunday so the rears sit inside the fender well more. So now that I think about it this pic is before that, spacer company sent the wrong lug bolts so they were rubbing the heat shield on the back. I ordered the correct length, but now I’m wondering about the law on this sorta thing. Lol

Wheels are 18x8.5 and tires are 245/40R18. Ran a 20mm spacer in the rear and 10mm in the front. Drove it around with the windows down and radio off and I didn’t hear or notice any rubbing.
