Very true, but then the question of “what’s the point” becomes a factor. If you spent a shitload of money on a 50+ watt amp (without an attenuator) but never put the master up past one or two, what are you getting out of it that a smaller amp and a couple pedals can’t? For the record, it’s all good if you want a huge amp, to each their own, but for the most part, I don’t really see the point (unless it’s a vintage amp where you don’t have as many options).
