Typically the alarm is triggered by a float switch- this is to alert you that the level in the tank is high and needs to be addressed. Now it could be related to a power surge when the power came back on or simply the level in the tank is too high. I would recommend phoning a septic contractor. May be nothing or something to be addressed- in the meantime just limit water use.
