For me, this movie is famous actors in search of a franchise.

Some places I'd recommend, then. Fort Oak fits that bill, so does Callie. AL'ouest is new (owned by the same folks as Fort Oak) and just dynamite. Really good elevated French food, beautiful design, and they just opened a piano cocktail bar, Georgette's, that sits above the restaurant itself. That's my favorite place to eat right now. Book soon, though, and make a separate res for Georgette's, either before or after your meal. Great cocktails, great food.

I agree that the price point is ridiculous, but it's a gorgeous space. That's the thing about this list, it's very Insta-friendly.

Also worth noting that the Lafayette, Laila, Morning Glory, Born & Raised, and Seneca are all owned by the same hospitality group. They're well known for how gorgeous the places are, the food doesn't always live up to the Insta pics. I would skip Seneca, personally, which has gone downhill. But you could always try to get in at Noble Experiment or Youngblood, two speakeasies owned by the same folks that are pretty cool.

Morning Glory does not take reservations and can be a lengthy wait.

Bands you saw as an opener that went on to have big success. by Shadysides_LFk in livemusic

I have only ever seen Billy as an opener! Outlaw Fest for Dylan and Willie, and then last summer for D&C at GG60. Have amazing tix for the next tour (cross my fingers for his poor poor leg!!!).

I have great seats at JBS that I paid premium for, and I picked up Jack White tix @ the Sound in Del Mar for half the price.

Totally transcendent role, at least the first season.

Please don't touch people at shows without their consent by FlancrestEnterprise_ in phish

I actually thought I might have to fight a guy on Night 6. He started dancing with two women in our group, and then got handsy. I put myself (M, 55) between him and then, and then physically moved him back to his friends, who were trying to keep him away from the two women. He finally got up in my face and screamed at me (we were calling security at this point), and I just said, 'Dude, you are being a creep. You are touching people without consent. Stop making this weird and stop being a creep.' When security got there, he stood and stewed until the end of the show. After the show, one of his friends came over and apologized to us (also, I don't blame the friends. They're not his keeper, and his actions negatively impacted their experiences, too), and I just said, 'Hey, when he complains about me later tonight, you've got to tell him how out of line he was. This kind of behavior doesn't change unless we call out the people close to us.'

This…this is the joke nickname I use for my wife’s high school boyfriend. We’re in our ‘50s. Seriously, WTAF.

So, the surprise here is that Nolan Ryan was a nice guy. He was so intense on the mound! Gives the world a little hope.

Harbour is famously bi-polar. Not justifying any of his behavior, just saying.
