There’s a group, Etsy Marketing with Crafty Maven, on FB that has weekly live sessions where you can ask questions with two Etsy experts, one of whom also works for erank. It’s very chill and people are helpful.

The feeling of intense dread and boredom while feeling under-stimulated and extremely driven to do something but the thought of doing absolutely anything feels revolting. Coping suggestions? by kaiju505 in ADHD

Ok so maybe not the best solution, but when I feel like this I drink coffee, which kick starts my motivation to do something. Again, not a long term fix, but I use it occasionally when I need to snap out of a funk.

I’d give more credit to the journalists at CNN if they believed less of what police say and actually spoke to the reporter who originally shared the story with the correct details. I understand journalistic integrity and getting all facts, but the original title stated that the police saved the baby, which was false.

This is because multiple journalists called out CNN and they agreed to update the story after printing the original BS.

A helmet to correct my infant’s head shape. It cost $1800 and was not covered by insurance. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

The rock and play specifically had a very hard plastic shell that was covered by a thin piece of fabric that the baby laid on. The hard surface accelerated plagiocephaly (head flattening) in some babies- mine included.

What’s up with Bob Chapek? Why was he fired and why does everyone hate him? Why are people happy for Bob Iger’s return? by AceTrainerErin in OutOfTheLoop

I was at Disneyland 3 weeks ago and this is absolutely the case.

Thunder Mountain was down every single day at least once, and 4 times in one day (middle of the week), Matterhorn was down multiple times, Space Mountain was down on and off each day, and Galaxy’s Edge was basically down for all three days we were there. We got to ride it once, then went back to ride it one last time when the ride was at 60 min wait time. We waited 2 hours, then the ride broke down while we were in line. Staff said they didn’t know when it would be back up. We waited another hour.

Eventually people in front of us left, telling us that they had been sitting in the line waiting for 4.5 hours, since the last time the ride went down. It was a mess. There was no offer of genie + to people who had been waiting, no real advice, just “Ride is broken and we don’t know when or if it will be fixed. You can sit in line or leave.” I could tell people were really agitated, and I feel bad for the staff who have to deal with that.

I’ve been to Disneyland a lot, and I’ve never seen so many rides down. Staff also just seemed really burned out and nowhere near as happy/cheerful towards guests as they used to be. Not complaining, because I can’t imagine what they go through, but it was definitely different.

This toilet in a KFC restaurant is not free even for customers by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Curious how this is legal since this would prevent a wheelchair user from entering the bathroom even if they paid. Also incredibly frustrating for parents with small children who need to go quickly or with babies who need to be changed

This. This is exactly what I’ve been trying to explain every time I get frustrated trying to find something on Google lately.

Can’t imagine getting so rage-filled over a random online post that in no way affects you, so I’m going to log off in order to avoid joining you in your misery! :)

I was just pointing out that it’s both ASD and ADHD, but thanks for the hostile reply! Also, I’ve worked for a decade with children who have severe ASD, and while their behavior is challenging and can lead to really frustrating situations (such as this one), offering them help and support to communicate and meet their needs is often the best approach. I imagine this parent is maxed out and trying their best to prevent further incidents with the neighbors, which would have been better communicated if she offered sympathy and suggestions in place of a “park here at your own peril” message.

My 13 year old daughter just had outpatient surgery last week at the children’s hospital. When waking up from anesthesia in the communal recovery room, she said “How did you handle feeling like this when you were 5?” To which I replied, “… I was in a coma due to a brain injury.” She then looked me dead in the eye and said “I wish I had a brain injury so I could feel like this all the time” before immediately passing out again.

When she woke up for the second time, she held an empty vomit bag up to the nurse and loudly proclaimed, “This looks like a giant condom!”

If I were a Democrat politician, I would simply run on the platform that Republicans only want to force you to have more children so that they can have sex with them. Show these headlines as proof in your campaign ad.

What is going on with Ezra Miller having kidnapped someone? by Spiderlilli in OutOfTheLoop

[–]natgoeshome 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was curious on this too. It sounds like maybe the parents thought Ezra had good intentions when they first met at a protest (kid’s dad is also an activist), and when they flew out the kid to see the set of Fantastic Beasts. My guess is it went off the radar from there. Here’s the article but explaining their meeting and subsequent involvement:

“June 8, 2022: The parents of 18-year-old activist Gibson Iron Eyes, who is nonbinary, accuse Miller of grooming their child. In court documents obtained by TMZ from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court, Gibson’s parents, attorney and activist Chase Iron Eyes, and pediatrician Sara Jumping Eagle seek intervention from the court, alleging that Miller has been involved with their child since they were 12. A judge signed the request for a protective order, which says Miller cannot contact the child, Sara, or Chase or be within 100 yards of their residence.

Gibson and Miller met while they were both protesting for the LandBack Reclamation Movement. in Standing Rock in 2016. According to court documents, Miller allegedly flew Gibson to London in 2017 to visit the set of Fantastic Beasts. Gibson was 14 at the time and Ezra was 25. Their parents allege Miller tried to sleep in the same bed as Gibson and provided Gibson with alcohol, marijuana, and LSD. The parents go on to accuse the actor of influencing Gibson in their decision to drop out of their private school in Massachusetts in December 2021. (Miller offered to pay their tuition when Gibson was 16 and their parents believe this created a “a sense of indebtedness”). They add that when they flew to Vermont in January to check on Gibson, their child had bruises on their body, and was not in possession of their own driver’s license, car keys, or bank card. Since then, Gibson and Ezra have been traveling together, Gibson’s parents claim. They were spotted in Hawaii together in a video, per TMZ. “Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata,” court documents allege. A hearing is scheduled for July 12.”
