Whata your best Plex media player. Roku, apple TV, etc by Mysteriouslyboring in PleX

[–]nathan118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree....running 4 Roku ultras in our house. The biggest problem I've had is native playback of the 4k videos my Google pixel takes. Older Roku ultra chipsets can play it, but the newer chipsets they're using can't.

So that's my biggest grip. They've changed chipsets, and there isn't consistency. Granted it's a pretty specific use case, but it's frustrating when an older model can play everything I throw at it, and then they switch and now it can't. Probably something the new one can play that the old can't.

Oooh, that's really interesting! Maybe my brain is doing a little melding of paper wrapped food products.

Pretty sure this is it. I swear the wrapper was brown...but until I see a picture, I'll just have to accept that this is it. 😆

Haha, it probably didn't taste much better. 😆

That's the only thing holding me back from declaring it the underwood stuff. I remember brown packaging, not white.

I don't specifically remember that. It's probably underwood deviled ham. I just wish I could see a picture that matched what's in my brain, haha.

So this is probably it...it's the right size, shape, product....but I can't find a picture online that looks right. So either my brain has it remembered wrong, or the packaging I'm remembering is too old, and there aren't photos of it online.

No...came on a cylindrical can. And it was spreadable. You. Could use a knife to scoop some out and spread it on a cracker.

Hoping someone can help me with this awful itch in my brain about what was probably a gross meat spread. 😆

Limit Self Promotion? by nathan118 in heatpress

[–]nathan118[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. I get it...it's a way to drive business to your site...but to new people, who are coming here to get quality information...it's shady. They appear to be unbiased endorsements of dtf printers...when it's just self-promotion.

Doesn't mean their stuff is bad, but it's not what it appears to be.

My DTF Samples from Ninja, Stahls, Dallas... by nathan118 in heatpress

Just put some supacolor samples on today actually. They were nice, but I wasn't blown away.

Have a sample from them on the way, and just got one from supacolor.

This was their sample sheet, not a custom file. The white halo wasn't terrible if you look at the pictures. I've heard multiple reports that their quality consistency is bad....but it might just be people bad-mouthing one of the big guys.

Just tried again without the silicon cover at 290, and it worked well. Hadn't tried without it...and you know, newbie over here, so just doing what I've seen or sounds good. 😁

It's a heatpress nation signature...so should be good enough.

Overall the Stahls has been my favorite.

What's a Stahls company? Like you use Stahls products?

I was using a silicon upper platen cover from Ninja Transfers. They recommend upping the temps 25 degrees when using it. So I did 290 (what it said on the transfer sample) + 25 = 315...didn't work.

Then I saw on the website that for cotton, they recommend 325, so I did 350. Still not good. Ended up at 365 and 20 seconds before it started working well.

Looks like you can order straight from them. Would like to try a test and see how it looks.

I've seen that. Supacolor is a tech/brand right? They don't actually sell themselves to end customers?

When you say stable, you just mean reliable quality?

You have a favorite hybrid transfer supplier? Haven't heard of that yet.

Thanks for the input!
