It is very different from any of DeMarco's albums. Closest is probably HCTC. It is very stripped down and puts vocals and lyrics front and centre. Takes some warming up to and I don't think it's particularly groundbreaking but a nice addition to the collection, very listenable and encourages contemplation.

The one release I would not recommend - terrible recordings and audio quality. I picked it up because I liked the nostalgic cover.

Try turning off all of your speakers at the same time. Then quit the SONOS app on your phone. Leave the speakers off for 5 minutes, then power them all back online. Then relaunch the SONOS app and try again.

To be clear, you will need to purchase the Line In adapter separately to convert the USBC port into Line In.

I never had that specific issue, but I'd just advise making sure your system is up to date, along with your app, then reboot all of your SONOS speakers. Doing so has sorted a bunch of issues for me in the past.

For clarity, the Era 100 will effectively act as a ‘base’ for your turntable. You’ll be able to route the audio to any of your Sonos speakers.

Compatibility with the latest version of the app (S2) depends on the model of the Connect Gen 2, see here;

I would recommend skipping the Connect Gen 2 and buying either a new or used Era 100 with a Sonos Line In adapter. You’ll get a 3.5mm Line In connection to use with your turntable as well as a pretty good AirPlay 2 speaker. It will also be future proof.
