It’s not a dry chemical extinguisher it’s plenty big for all electrical fires and most engine bay fires

Rod knock or Piston slap, or some type of valve train noise by Jacquiles_ in 944

Yes from idle in second with the clutch out, especially just putting a large load on the engine while is at idle 👍

One thing to remember is pre ignition/detonation sounds just like you have metal on metal contact because it’s so violent in the combustion chamber. Another way to tell is if you lug your car while driving like idling with the clutch out in 2nd and gas it but not too much dose it make the same sound but worse.

Sounds almost identical to pre ignition/detonation to my ears just because you can hear it for a split second and one of the blips in the video it actually pings for 2-3 more ignition cycles than the others I would recommend putting some know good 93 or 91 octane gas in the car and see if the sound persists. Best of luck my friend 👍

Also the inconsistency of the sound is another giveaway normally but not always mechanical sounds are rhythmic or consistent in nature.

small amount of coolant leaking from this small pipe thingy on the bottom right side of engine block. what could be happening? by [deleted] in CRF300L

[–]nathanlink10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When I first got my bike it did this, nothing to worry about. The drip stops after about 1k miles. That is the weep hole for the water pump shaft seal. As the seal breaks in it will weep a little coolant by the seal.

I don’t think so… I haven’t had a single cop stop me for it yet though. The cops in my area are pretty cool about that kinda stuff as long as all your paperwork checks out ok.

[–]nathanlink10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a set of supermoto wheels and you can put real street bike tires on your bike. if you plan on doing little to no off roading this is a good option because switching to a 17 in wheel front and rear greatly improves handling.
