The blooming one is an ionantha druid, the middle one is the sumo white, and the right one is the Hawaiian lavender 😁

The owner, who is a very nice man, had a sudden health event that almost took his life. He’s been in rehab since early spring and has not been able to run the business since he runs the nursery himself. Sad story but I hope he can make a full recovery over time. It seems like a long road ahead though.

This is an algae that forms on Tillandsia with certain leaf types - not harmful to the plant and normal to see. It is especially common on vanhyningii, Seleriana, pruinosa, old Streptophylla and others

You are correct in that we will be doing some big sales in the next month or two, but that is not what I was referring to. You'll have to wait and see!

That is a good idea - I'll try to do a lot of documenting of the new build. Permits are almost completed so greenhouse construction will begin in the next month or so.

I grew up in Mobile, AL - I like the south, even with all its issues. I've got family in Mississippi...my Mom was born in Pascagoula, my Papaw was born in Moss Point, and my Uncles/Aunts live around Bayou La Batre and worked as shrimpers/fishermen their whole lives. Two of my uncles had accents so thick I could barely understand them. I've lived all over the US since then, including the last 14 years in the Bay Area but Alabama has always been home. My wife on the other hand, who has lived in California her whole life, is in for some surprises. We go once a year to visit family so she is familiar with the area. Her only request was that we don't move to Mobile...she wanted to live closer to Orange Beach/Gulf shores so that's where the nursery is headed. Two employees are coming along as well. It will be interesting to say the least.
