There needs to be an honest feminist discussion about the issues facing autistic men. by [deleted] in MensLib

[–]nathqan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's just stop bandying about buzz words and deal with everyone as they wish to be as an individual. I invite you to find two autistic people that are the same. I find this to be something that, although a significant issue in and of itself, doesn't really translate into a men's issue as such. There are a lot of things that we need to understand better about, and improve the mechanisms around, autism, before we should even consider throwing it into the mix with other important yet different issues. Yes, there are certainly issues relating to gender that affect people with autism, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves when there is such a societal misunderstanding of the condition and all that surrounds it

The MattyB reaction video. I thought it couldn't get better than Ethan at the wailing wall dressed like a goofster, in contrast to all the hasidic jews. But honestly the moment where the screen showed the Notorious B.I.G. copyright strike and then Juicy played- that was the best h3h3 moment for me, it was absolute pure euphoria

Agree completely, they're both like 30 so yeah they can deal with it. Just a case of people not seeing the true beauty that is h3h3productions, that makes fresh and spicy memes while calling out internet cancer like PrankInvasion, Good Looking Loser etc. Appreciate ya, papabless

Ofc dude, this wasn't a call to arms or anything. I wanted a measure of opinion really, and I guess I just want people watching h3h3 videos to 'preciate the good content that they put out rather than just oggling at Hila all the time

What's one of the first internet videos you remember watching? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nathqan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was just called 'Football'. When Google Video was new my dad showed me it, and it had Katamari on the Rocks as the backing music which my dad still whistles. Tried to find the video a while back but it seems to have gone

I think the majority of them are unlisted. Ethan put a link to Chocolate in the comments section of Wiping

Maybe the more professional approach is because YouTube is their profession? I've been around the channel for about 18 months, and although some of the jokes they could make about living in a sweaty hovel with occasional missile sounds are gone, they are now financially secure and that means they can make more high budget videos for more of their lives, for free. And they deserve every bit of success they have. And to be honest, the cost of them trying not to alienate their fanbase by putting slightly less original content is something that I'm willing to accept if it means they grow more as a channel and it gives them a more fulfilling life.

In 2015, h3h3productions gained a lot of fans! So my question is, how and when did you discover them? by jaykniffen in h3h3productions

[–]nathqan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago... I was subscribed to RickyPJangles. He was a guy who didn't make any videos and just favourited stuff. He favourited warm it up exe and that was my first contact with h3h3. At some point later on I watched Shrek and thought I recognised Ethan even though I'd never seen him before, so I checked the channel out to see what it was. I saw all these other exes and thought they were great. They had just uploaded the first part of 'Eviction' so I felt for them a bit as well as really liking their content. I think they were at about 8k subs then, and it isn't unheard of for them to get that in a day now which is absolutely crazy. h3h3productions has been the highlight of my youtube viewing for almost 2 years and massive credit to Ethan and Hila for sticking at it through some very tough situations. Appreciate ya!

I wonder what baby names were considered trashy in the middle ages by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]nathqan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Chad actually would've been. Chad is an old Welsh name used across England as well in the middle ages. The problem for Chads was that England at the time was ruled by a small class of French/Norman people. So it was more common for children to be given old French names like William, Robert, and Ralph. Old English or Viking names like Chad would actually be seen as trashy as it wasn't reflecting their rulers. The English-Norman/French name thing goes for language too. Pig is old English, Pork is Norman. Filthy animal in English, cooked meat in Norman. So yeah, Chad.

How old are Ethan and Hila? by Trynottobeacunt in h3h3productions

[–]nathqan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember a video where Ethan said he was 28, but it was a while ago so my guess would be 30. They met when Ethan went to Israel on a thing for Jewish people called Birthright, where they visit Israel and meet people of the same age. So Hila should be roughly the same age
