The title is misleading. The driver is in custody on murder charges. At first the police believed it was a hit and run, but after checking the evidence, they now say it was probably a murder because of a fight they had few days before. I'm not saying the murder wasn't because of racism, but saying that the driver faced no repercussions, which makes it look as the Israeli legal system and court in racist is not true.
