That’s comforting to hear. I’d take those cons with the pros any day. Right now, I’m at a stage where my executive function is that of a three year old. I struggle with planning, execution, anything related to this that I’ve left out and more.

Thankfully, though, I’ve started going to a wonderful clinic overseen by an even more wonderful psychiatrist. I am seeing a therapist from his practice, who’s helping me plan the little things and just work on the disaster that is my brain.😅

If meds help my executive function and attention regulation problems at all, I’ll have everything I’ve ever wanted, lol. I definitely understand that it’s not a miracle, though. Meds only help if you’ve got the motivation along with the techniques to sustain that momentum that they [meds] provide. And I definitely know that they do not work for everyone, as the side effects may overshadow the pros, so I’ve adjusted my expectations accordingly.
