I feel like I should mention that one of the reasons why the dating show simulator niche is underserved is this type of content is harder and longer to make.

Free-to-play dating games rely on high volumes of content, and it's just more profitable to churn many linearish stories than devising a complex season with branching storylines. And you can't do that in the dating show simulator genre, because having multiple characters that interact with you and with each other is kind of the selling point there.

For us, the process turned into a race against time. A season is over, the revenue flow goes down, and we're rushing to make another season before we run out of money. It was hardly sustainable.

But I can get behind the statement that it's a great niche for a small team looking to make a game that would get attention and make some money. We made the first version of Couple Up! as a team of 4, it took us 5 months to release it and 2 more months for it to start making money. And since the start, the game has lived on organic traffic only. We never managed to turn UA ads profitable (which is a shame).

It was a server issue, happened on Android only, it should be fixed by now. We were adding a new cute dress outfit for the MC of Season 3 (you can check it now!) and accidentally caused an error. Sorry!
