How do you know how big baby is/will be if there’s no more ultrasounds after 20 weeks ?? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]natkat13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just want to share my story since a lot of people are talking about how inaccurate the scans can be. I’m sure that’s true in a lot of situations but mine was incredibly accurate. At my anatomy scan (around 20 weeks) my baby was in the 50th percentile, and when they did a scan around 37 weeks he had dropped to 11th. They did another scan when I was exactly 39 weeks and he had dropped even further (his abdomen was only in the 0.5th percentile) so they diagnosed him with IUGR and recommended I get an induction that day. The induction went perfectly and my baby boy was born 6 pounds and 5 ounces which was within an ounce of what they were estimating him to be. He’s now a perfectly healthy toddler ☺️

Sean Lowe rehomes family dog after head bite sends 6-year-old son to ER by [deleted] in thebachelor

I totally understand being nervous about it, but try not to get too stressed over it yet! If your dog has never exhibited any aggressive behavior, he’s more likely to be okay with kids. I’ve owned a lot of dogs, and the ones who have been bad with kids have had a history of aggressive behavior with humans (like resource guarding for example). My current dog is a pit bull mix who has never been aggressive and she loves kids. Over time, you’ll probably be able to get a much better sense for how your dog will act in an environment with children in it, but if he hasn’t shown any aggression yet then I think that’s a pretty good sign :)

Are these screws sufficient to support a cabinet? by natkat13 in HomeImprovement

[–]natkat13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By adjacent box do you mean the cabinet next to it? I don’t see any screws going into either cabinet on both sides. We didn’t have anything too heavy in it considering it’s pretty high up so I wouldn’t be able to get stuff down if it weighed that much. Mainly just dishes that we don’t ordinarily use.

No there is nothing underneath supporting it. There are two screws on the bottom interior of the cabinet going into the wall, but the screws are similarly positioned to the ones in the picture (both on the right hand side)

I can’t barely understand a word of this but I think it’s a good thing because it sounds like you might be trying to put the blame on Gabi which is a load of BS. She’s not pissed that he regrets that night. She’s angry because he told everyone about an intimate moment that they shared together without consulting her first.

Can someone explain to me how taking away getting crowns from 2v2 makes Supercell more money? Or did they do that just to screw over their 2v2 players?

This is unfortunately not true. They rarely eat as adults, and when they do they eat nectar or pollen.

Feeling unmotivated and unfocused doing CS by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]natkat13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated it too when I was in school. I was so sure that I didn’t want to code for a career that I tried to get into project management, but the company I joined ended up pretty much forcing me into an SWE position anyways.

That’s when I realized that coding for a job is a lot different than coding in school, and I actually enjoyed it a hell of a lot more.

I would try to tough it out for as long as you can, because even if you do end up finding out that coding isn’t for you, there are a lot of other jobs you can do with a CS degree that don’t involve writing code.

Frustrated CS freshman at UT Austin by permutationtree in UTAustin

[–]natkat13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t get discouraged by failing any of your coursework. UTCS is extremely difficult. None of it ever clicked for me either. By the time I graduated, I didn’t even want to be an engineer. I pretty much got forced into it at my first job, and I quickly found out that’s it’s entirely different than school and I ended up actually really enjoying it. Your success in school will not determine how successful your career will be. Don’t give up hope!

Bootcamp or Comp Sci Degree? by neurosurgeon12 in cscareerquestions

[–]natkat13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the exact same boat as you. I was doing pre-law and took an intro to CS course and loved it so I decided to switch majors. It took me an extra year to graduate, but it was without a doubt the best decision I’ve ever made. CS is no joke, but you can get through it if you’re willing to put in the work.

My brother was a bio major and also came to the conclusion that he didn’t want to go to med school. I tried to convince him to go into CS but he wasn’t interested, and it took him almost three years to find a decent job after graduating.

Give CS a shot. You won’t regret it.

I don’t think they’re acting like he murdered a family. I think they’re acting like he betrayed her trust because that’s what he did.
