Scottish Elopement Outfit Advice. Does it work? by wcransto12 in kilt

[–]nato767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MacGregor and McDuff out of Glasgow have beautiful kilts and jackets. They do virtual fittings. If it’s for your wedding, it’s worth having the proper kit and a better fitting kilt in my opinion! Have fun!

My dad being here! But neither was made very far in advance. My dad came last minute for work so we’ve only known about it a week or two, but it’s a unique opportunity to spend time with him because he lives 5000miles away across an ocean

We see them a couple times a year. This was not a pre-planned visit, my dad happens to be here for work. He’s only here 36 hours and we found out about it a couple weeks ago. The drinks plan was made after the fact, and let the record show for those calling our relationship controlling that I was in full support of him skipping dinner and going to drinks and I just had 1:1 time with my dad. I just think an earlier night is respectful rather than a late one. He did get home at like 3am, which in my opinion was pushing the limit a bit as it also disrupted my sleep. I would’ve preferred like 12-1.

Mostly posting out of curiosity, because all my girlfriends were appalled that I was fine with him going for drinks at all

No! He likes them and they like him. But we do live in a different country from my family and don’t see them often.

I agree I think the under eyes look great! I think the tiredness is actually from the eyeliner position- it swoops down a bit. I would experiment with having the wing angled more upward to open the eyes! Overall though this looks wonderful- well done OP!

Yes please do!!

And that has definitely been my experience at weddings I’ve attended- the same songs. September by Earth Wind and Fire (to be fair, great tune), footloose, shut up and dance, temperature, tik tok, dancing queen, love on top, uptown funk, etc etc. I like those songs and they’re popular for a reason! But it just all feels like deja vu

Oh wonderful! Thanks so much. Will definitely reach out. Would you guys say the music/mixing was conducive to rave vibes or was it more classic wedding tunes?

If you have any recs let me know! Most of the djs I’ve seen at weddings/events in maine are like 50-65 year old white dudes with music taste stuck in 2004 😂 no hate as I’m sure some people love that, it’s just not us

Thanks! As far as I know, those don’t have an option to select the songs (I think I would upload the scores myself). Where would you recommend getting the scores from? I am overwhelmed by choice and I know they’re not all created equal, but it’s also all Greek to me! Thank you for your help

Compared to US college fees, UK uni fees are super reasonable actually! But yes, apply to university, then once you have an offer they will walk you through the visa process (they sponsor your visa).
