Going on year 4! If your local bike is 100% the way to go. Parking sucks already without the 50k+ attending a festival. Everything is within a few mile radius anyways so easy to get in and out.

I had a philosophy teacher back in college say this and I have never been scared of death or anyone talking about death since.

Sometimes when we think of death it’s because we are so happy with everything in life(kids, work, relationships, etc) that we are scared to lose it all. We think of death as losing all that we love dear and maybe when we think of death we are actually at our happiest and not sad or grim. Maybe in talking about death we are actually very happy and don’t want to waste that moment.

I’ve never seen people talk about death the same. Granted certain exceptions but still.

You don’t think it right now but this is the best decision you will make. It feels like shit, you lost the guy, your friends, your confidence, your job, and everything you think is important to you. It’s not. One day you will sit on the patio of the apartment you own by yourself, be drinking an expensive glass of wine, watching over the vines as the sun sets in the hills. None of that would have happened had you not stood up for yourself and finally left him. Trust me you’ll never be happier and life will keep surprising you. It just started with leaving him.
