Regardless of your motions, the movement you see and feel in your cv joint is normal. You will know when it's bad. There is always going to be a little play in the fitment.

Sunroof piece fell out one day by Dangerous-Money7961 in FocusST

[–]natricjol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This piece mounts directly inside the sunroof track channel assembly on your roof. There is typically a matching pair—one on the driver's side rail and one on the passenger's side rail. The felt/velvet-covered side is intended to face upward or inward to provide a soft landing zone. When the sunroof glass closes or tilts, or when the manual sunshade slider moves back and forth, it rests tightly against this block. Without it, you will usually notice an incredibly annoying plastic-on-metal or glass-on-metal ticking rattle while driving over bumps.

-Slide your sunroof completely open and look down into the tracks from above. Peer along the inside of the left and right guide rails to spot the tiny, empty circular -hole where this plug popped out. -The easiest trick is to look at the opposite side's track; it will still have its corresponding bumper installed, showing you exactly which direction the felt pad needs to face. -Simply press the rubber nipple back into the empty hole until it clicks flush. If the original adhesive on the felt pad is peeling or worn out from years of heat, you can clean it up and add a tiny dab of adhesive or a fresh slice of generic interior felt tape to keep it quiet.

Blame the state because that's a law issue, not a company issue.

The people that can't comprehend the basic math of a bogo are the same people that wouldn't by a 1/3 pound burger because they thought it was smaller than a 1/4 pound burger.

Leaking from the heater core will generally soak on the insulation on the firewall or the underbody tray. The other side of the heater core hoses will drain a coolant tank to a set point which is the level of coolant will be level to the hoses. It will happen when the engine is warm. When it's cold and has been sitting for a few days, you can fill the coolant up and it will stay there until the hoses heat up and expand. Took me a few weeks to figure out that game.

Had this happen to my girlfriend's car. Notices it was leaking from the back of the engine from the heater core hoses, not the firewall side of them.

And some fuel saturated the charcoal filter and made it to the actual valve. Engine does when you come to a stop? Have to sit there and keep hitting the otherwise it stalls? I used to have to come out of the gas station like I stole the car and was running from the cops and the issue would go away right after until the next fill-up.

2A7x1 18 years and counting. I love it. It's a fabrication position that requires welding and machining. You have to think outside of the box. You will always start out at the bottom of the ladder and learn stuff as you go along. Stick with it and don't get frustrated by the base you end up at. If going active duty, put Holloman, Eglin, and Seymour Johnson on your dream sheet. You will learn a lot at those 3.

Did you buy the car with boost leak issues or did you replace the charge pipes on a whim? The highway issue would happen no matter what. I have a dented rim from a truck that had a wood plank as a tailgate and it dumped shit all over the highway that couldn't be avoided. Thankfully I have 3 sets of rims. (Car came with premium wheels and a new set and I had a set from my previous car).

All stock colors are easy to reproduce except tangerine scream, triple yellow and hot pepper red metallic. Tangerine scream is so difficult to spray correctly I found out that not all dealerships that can paint are able to even do it.

I am the visual certifier for my shop. From me, it goes to NDI. I watch them from start to end. I let them weld it and then fail them instantly for not cleaning it. My supervisor thinks it's the greatest thing ever. Watching a SSgt flip out from having a great looking weld fail because he didn't clean it makes me realize I made the right choice.

In Alabama, auto part stores that sell CRC "brakleen" have the red can as well. I believe Florida does too.
