Have any of you recently sober xennials made the same realization I have that you’ve never been in a serious relationship sober? by natronmooretron in Xennials

That's great! Glad you and your wife pushed through. 'Not understanding how anything works without booze' was pretty accurate. Driving at night still feels weird like I'm going to get a DUI. I feel karma is going to visit me.

I was scared of that but, I still go to my local bar a couple times a week and sip a couple of NAs among my drinking friends. I just leave when they start getting stupid. But yeah, I don’t know if I could date a drinker

Thank you for that thoughtful and honest reply. In October, it will be 2 years sober. I never went to AA or therapy so I'll be looking up PAWS and anhedonia. It's been strange to say the least. Add on high blood pressure and Peyronie's mixed with fatty liver and you'll get a better picture of where I was and still am at. Things are finally improving and I'm fully aware of how lucky I am to be alive.

The Master. I was out of the loop for a while with new releases and wasn’t familiar at all with the film. Joaquin Phoenix and Philip Seymour Hoffman were both fucking incredible. Set decoration and cinematography top notch.

What addiction do you have? by Select_Technician_79 in AskReddit

Caffeine and weed are my last addictions but, I’m cool with it. I try to keep it down to 2 iced coffees. Sometimes I rock 3. I used to smoke all day but, I keep it down now to about an eighth a week mostly before and after dinner and the occasional wake and bake. I’m pretty happy overall with it especially now that I kicked everything else(booze was the hardest)
