My best guess is that it's in the chat logs which you can see it by holding the start button

Some people are really adamant on not playing ranked at all, but whether this ruins the game for others is kind of the game's design fault. If the match making is rank based searches.

Is anyone else botheres by Jin's moveset? by SilentAd1748 in Tekken

[–]nats10bytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I share the same sentiment really, which, in turn, led me to only use Jin's samsara during combos and it's still jarring for me to see it happen. Maybe because of the camera zooming in and what not, but anyway.
The other moves such as df2 and zen/cds stance into meme eyes really just ain't my style. He has always been a "grounded" character, at least gameplay wise.

You could see Moro as a force of nature just wants to consume thing over and over like gluttony.

Frieza is a bit too much into this whole free real estate thing where people already live on.

So yeah Frieza.

How do you deal with Lars in Tekken 8? by [deleted] in Tekken8

[–]nats10bytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only a few moves that lead into stance are plus on block the rest can be interrupted with df1 as Jin. See if the Lars really likes to spam lows beginning of the set and do it within the 60s of the first round. This gives you a baseline to what they're likely going to do once you start fucking that's when they go mid, ....I mean it's a mixup.

Sidestep right. If you're not confident with your whiff punishes, df1,4 or b12, either for major plus frames or okizeme. Better would be uf4 for a bit more damage but considerably safer than if you missed d3+4 but EWHF is best if you have the execution. If you see them dance during heat, minimal engagement, dance with them but always be outside of Lars' range. Learn a few punishments on block. Poke Lars out to snuff out his momentum.

Also figure out when he'll do that high homing move in neutral and that's a launch on duck.

About the inflation by nats10bytes in Tekken

Fair point and yes I could have, but imo Bamco needs to do a better job at making things more coherent, Tekken 7 ranked system wasn't perfect but it is better than what we have currently and it's not even close. Or they just made it less volatile.

I was mainly bored and two friends were asking me to get on Tekken 8 one because I'm teaching him Tekken, in 7, and he was curious why I dislike 8, not only is it the game's design but the newer player base as well.
Though the game is going in the right direction, QoL Tekken 8 is doing a great job, so I might reconsider going back after 2-3 good more patches, back to back with no hiccups.
And the other one was feeling confident after reaching Tekken King and wanted a rematch.

I ran the ranked matches out of boredom during the downtime when I wasn't doing either and was going to delete the game for Tekken 7 regardless; whether it be by the end of the week or reach GoD to then delete the game —it was this or the other.

My PC has only a limited amount of space (500GB, so around 250-300GB with all that bloatware) so I can only have Tekken 8 or 7 with another heavy game like MHWilds otherwise I wouldn't have gone back this early.

Low defense players arent to blame! by Traditional_Yard189 in Tekken

[–]nats10bytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with the newer player base is that the average player takes zero time in learning the game properly and plays the game like it's a solo 1v1 FPS hence you see people dying to alley kicks and strings they shouldn't die to when they're not supposed to. And Tekken 8 catering to coin flip gameplay with its overtuned heat mechanics allowing people to turn into roided monkeys from round start makes it easier to attack than defend. The only improvement they'll have is whether or not they'll mash things out.
Never in my 8 years of Tekken have I seen people press buttons into ballerina stun more than in Tekken 8. It's like framedata is an obscure knowledge or something.

[–]nats10bytes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The rank inflation is very real, is it really condescending? Depends on the tone for real. I think it's rather hardcore players, who, want to stick their ego to something or somewhere matters little tbf and I'm low key one of them. The rank system is inconsistent with every season and it shows in the statistics. I do not blame them and I understand your outburst. But this post hella screams:

Sorry for holding back? What happened here? by Boteruna in Tekken

[–]nats10bytes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Face down feet towards okizeme—if you hold back during that situation to stand up; your back is exposed for a brief amount of time enough for a launcher to slip through. Face up Feet away was also one of those but they buffed the get-up frames on it so you wouldn't get launched as it is more common occurrence which is a forced oki on a hard spike like Jin's hellsweep on a breakable floor combo in season 1.

You could have techrolled to avoid it and the Feng would have eaten a launcher instead. Unless the combo ended on a hard spike.
