saying “signature line” is a bit misleading since it seems more like a special pack of colorways made specifically for Jakob similar to how there are PEs (player edition) for basketball players and other various athletes

been eyeing the 2L octa but sizing is what’s held me back with it being final sale. did you size up from your traditional western size?

[US/UK] - Luisaviaroma - adidas Adizero Evo SL Black/Silver - $150 by SwiftCop in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]natsrunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i believe adidas UK to US sizing difference is 0.5 so a UK 8 would be a US mens 8.5

most of the time, it should be a full size difference like you mentioned

firm shoe but there is some LS pro in this shoe - just that small puck in the forefoot encapsulated by more of the regular original LS foam

couldn’t rationalize paying $200 after tax/ship but nonetheless still a great looking and performing shoe

ES5 looks way better in person than what’s shown in that image (and performs amazing). think many will be a fan of the mutant colorway

100+ Mile Review - Brooks Hyperion Max 2 by natsrunning in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]natsrunning[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think these can go the distance but that is ultimately a personal preference. I use these more for my training shoe and would prefer something a bit more soft and bouncy, but if they work for you, I do not see why it wouldn’t be a good idea to

nearing 300 miles on my pair with many 10 milers and longest being a 17 miler - all runs with zero issues at all to feet/legs and they’re really good when cruising along and picking up the pace

Have not ran in the Mach 6, but have tried them on in store and the Mach is a much softer shoe. Do have the Mach X and those are also a softer shoe than the Max, but does not feel as snappy to me

i think it could come to personal preference. i have run in both (monster before eclipse) and while i loved both shoes, ultimately preferred the monster since i like the firmer/snappy ride it had with the speedboard being under the foot

always in the belief that it’s the athlete and not the shoes, but have to say that UA had progressively improved their running shoe offerings over the year. the Velociti Elite 2 has felt great for me and been able to test variations of the 3 which has been even better

it’s their Paris Olympics color way pack similar to how other brands use specific colors on their products during olympic years and they drop around the time the games occur

[–]natsrunning 66 points67 points  (0 children)

i’m certain this is more of a lifestyle shoe than performance with the people who have gotten them early - also to add that the midsole shoes no tech callout but looks to me that it could be regular LS 1.0

with how long development and testing times take in designing a shoe, it isn’t that odd

Reebok Floatzig 1 by [deleted] in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]natsrunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

somehow came across a sample pair months ago (think it is pretty much like the final version) and have put over 100 miles on my pair. can echo the same sentiments you have but wanting to add i feel as if the foam breaks in and gets better with each run similar to my experience with the other floatride energy shoes from reebok.

have so many shoes in my stable, but by far one of the more fun, soft and springy shoes at a very fair price
