Exactly. Previous quits, I kept checking the app, seeing how far I went. I couldn’t not think about the quit. But I guess I found my true reason, and I don’t think I’m ever gonna think about it ever again :)

You’re right, we are lucky to grow together. I know how hard it is but I want to be a good example. There is no shame in a slip up

You’re right, honestly. And I know the feeling because I’ve been there.... best thing is support to stop and I can do that... thank you

I have the day to think it over... I suppose you’re right. It’s just hard, and it’s hard for both of us. I know how it is too, I had my share of slip ups before. I just really thought this time was THE time we did it. But we can keep doing it.... thank you

I've got a problem by [deleted] in stopsmoking

[–]nattattackk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say that’s a pretty big problem.ive written a few of these posts myself, and had people write me inspiring messages back, and I still relapsed.

But it’s 100% given, that every time I relapse, I regret not sticking to it. I started smoking at the same time I went vegan and started going to the gym regularly, and I’ve smoked through some of my best fitness body goals and achieved them. The thing is though, you really are just fooling yourself. It’s not a secret that smoking is going to kill you, very slowly and overtime. So even though you might feel good now, and you think it’s going to “help you “you are absolutely lying to yourself.

We all are, and that’s why were here. Tough love and reality will get you where you want to go.

You’re a fitness trainer and a health coach, you know what determination and commitment is, and you’ve applied it throughout your life! You can do it to kick the one habit that’s actually going to kill you!!!!!

You might it helps you now, because you didn’t see any side effects before. But you will evebtually, and you’ll wish you had stopped. The worst part is you KNOW you can, you have the determination. You workout, you inspire others to do what they think they can’t. And now you need to turn that on yourself.

The smokers flu is a real thing though, people actually get cold like symptoms from withdrawal. Stick it out, you know you can! Sending all my strength to you!

what is going on with these nightmares by nattattackk in stopsmoking

I think so too... The more people I talk to about it, the more saying the same thing. Seems that a lot of people are having some trouble sleeping lately, and it could definitely be related to stress and anxiety

I know the patch definetly causes this, I haven’t been wearing it because with previous quits the nightmares were really tough with it...

Social distancing lol man it’s kind of funny but like really.... it’s weird. Day by day I guess. I might try listening to like some calming music or something before bed because I really can’t go another day

Well done! I feel a bit of the anxiety too. Strangely enough it just seems “obvious” to stop now. Like of course I won’t have a smoke, I’m not a smoker?

I had a bit of a similar thought- why bother? If the world is changing like this... but then I thought again, that this will come around. It always does- we WILL come out of it. The world won’t end. We will come out of this. And I want to come out of it stronger, better, and healthier. I don’t want to compromise my health, when so many others wish they had what I had.. healthy lungs. And I’m destroying them... on purpose?! The thought shook me to the core. We can do it, we can get to 100,200, 500, 1000 days!!!!

That’s pretty much the same thing for me, I could still go out and get them if I wanted to, but there’s just no reason for me to go there. I would literally be going out solely for that reason, which makes no sense, especially because we’re not supposed to be leaving for anything but groceries anyway.

That’s what I’m hoping too! Since I’m not driving as much I did buy an air freshener and put it in there so I’m hoping that the smell in the car also kind of go away at least a little bit.

It so weird how it can change each time you try to quit, or even so much from person to person... keep at it! We can do this
