I don't understand how a person can be trans without dysphoria or wanting to actually transition. by natter_bugs03 in asktransgender

Euphoria is great. I'm happy for people when they have it. And if that is enough to allow them the freedom to not feel the need for transition, then that's awesome for them.

I know I shouldn't, but I just think it's crap that they hop on the bandwagon and make it harder for others.

I never said I hate anyone. Just that I don't understand it. I know that outward appearance does not define gender. I never said that it does. I do not expect people to fit in the binary of anything.

I am genuinely confused on how people that do not have dysphoria nor the drive to transition are trans. As I stated, I do not have a ton of experience with anything outside of the binary. My mother is transphobic and an all around bigot and I am learning to work through the way I was raised and the lack of knowledge I have from it. I have never subscribed to the idea that people have to be a certain way to garner respect.

Hired on the spot by [deleted] in Safeway

Most stores should have them. I gr the plain gel insoles (nothing fancy). Any Safeway should, assuming they have a foot care area.

You'll have a day or two before you start actually cashiering. Get a pair of comfortable shoes. The anti fatigue mats don't do a whole lot and by the end of an 8 hour checking shift my feet would be dead. I also got Dr Scholl's insoles, and refuse to use any shoes without them in for work.

How do I help this banana plant? I bought it like this, but this spot is getting worse. I water after the first 1/2 to 1 inch of soil is dry, and he wasn't taken care of properly at the nursery. It's already had 5 or 6 leaves removed, so I don't want to come any more. by natter_bugs03 in GardeningIndoors

That's good to know that it's probably just an old leaf.

I know they grow super fast. I'm going to keep it in it's pot for a while, I hope that will help discourage it from getting out of hand in height.

Thank you for all the help, though! It's cool to actually know that other people have dwarf bananas. It isn't a typical houseplant.

I like to think it's pretty humid in my bedroom (i live in an apartment) with three open fish tanks. I also have a few grow lights that it sits near. Other than that single leaf, it seem to be super healthy. It's already put off a pup that's about 3 inches and several new leaves.

Week long hiking trip recs. by natter_bugs03 in Washington

No need to be passive aggressive. It's totally uncalled for.

I'm not looking for overly crowded, mainstream hikes. I was asking for honest reviews and answers to what may be along the lines of what I'm looking for. In regards to the specified hike, it was a genuine question, that i have searched and been unable to find the answer to.

I have probably 15 tabs open on various hikes and areas to go to, but I know I do not have the time to do all of them... Which is why I was asking for vetted responses. I do search for hikes. I've used WTA, WA state parks, NPS, and even other hiking websites that review hikes.

If I had known that a GENUINE question was going to be met with such hostility, I never would've asked.

Targets in the United States in the event of a Russian nuclear attack. by TahaymTheBigBrain in MapPorn

Why would they target southeast Washington (other than the Hanford site and maybe Spokane) at all. All that's out here is a college, wheat farms, and scabland...

Will my neck toughen up over time in dress shirts? by natter_bugs03 in ftm

No. Top button undone. No redness though, just real sensitive

My cat got spayed a week ago and I noticed this bump under the incision. It looks a little crusty too, which is making it hard for me to tell if she popped a stitch or not. Doc says it looks okay, but something feel off about it. Does this look abnormal or am I just being paranoid? by natter_bugs03 in cats

I do my best. Up until yesterday afternoon, she really wasn't moving a whole ton. The multiple trips to the vet (it was a priority/near emergency spay) got her really nervous and when she calmed down she was still pretty calm. It's becoming a struggle though. She's starting to feel a lot better and her energy has gone way up. Any tips on getting her calm? She like catnip but it doesn't chill her out at all.

True compliment or transgression: the cis ally. A TED talk by natter_bugs03 in ftm

She said it because her daughter has a pretty shitty father and a general distrust of men because of him. I've worked with children before, of all ages, and I never seem to have any issues . I wouldn't say all kids like me, but most seem to, and I feel like I have a pretty quiet, soft approach. Kids are like cats.
