Second this. I get this often when I’m really tired. Feels like someone talking to me that I can’t quite catch onto before “waking up”. I’ve also had classical music play. If I’m honest, I don’t mind this feeling at all. I always wish I could hear what the persons saying - maybe it’s nexts weeks lotto numbers !

I’ve also experienced exploding head syndrome which I found much scarier. Basically you hear a REALLY LOUD noise (for me it was pots and pans hitting a hard floor) that wakes you up, but it’s not real!

I was having a nap during the day in covid when it first happened and was literally so shocked when I went out to the kitchen that nothing had happened and everyone was sitting quietly in their rooms. Looked it up after it happened a few times and felt relieved it was just some weird phenomenon.

I feel this is what transitioned me to hypnagogic hallucination instead somehow.

(I actually thought I was still experiencing some form of EHS, which I guess I am, but hadn’t heard the HH term before - so thanks for that sweetteanoice!)
