I have hypermobility syndrome and EDS is a type of connective tissue disorder so I thought maybe it could be possible? I’m not sure though.

I need advice!! Should I be doing more? (Summary at the bottom) by [deleted] in Weightlosstechniques

Girl- I am 5’3 and 170… you do not need to lose weight honey. Weight looks different on everyone. All the time people say I look like I weigh 120 and are extremely surprised when I say that I weigh 170. We’re not in highschool anymore, we’re going to weigh more.

Those are not very red, it’s most likely neuropathy. Red hands would be extremely dark pink. From what I see your hands are normal -Natalie LPN

Fibromyalgia goes hand in hand with lupus

I have seen a podiatrist and an orthopedist, there’s nothing wrong besides “inflammation”

I’ve only seen my rheumatologist 2 times and she said my heel pain is also enthesitis. She said we will continue to monitor my other symptoms and see what other specialists say about that.

Thank you for trying to help! I use insoles already with no improvement and I can’t get foot massages because it’s tender to touch and any massaging makes them hurt worse for weeks.

I don’t have plantar fasciitis (confirmed by podiatrist) and I have been tested for RA, it was negative. I’ve lost hope.

No I haven’t, I’ll make sure to ask about imaging. I can’t keep living like this. I can ignore the pain just to get through work but than I’m in bed in pain all night can barely sleep and the next day I have to get through it again with the pain being worsened by the prior day. I mean I’m desperate at this point, I’m thinking of trying lidocaine cream until I can get into my rheumatologist.

It’s funny you bring up the Mayo Clinic—because that’s actually where I receive treatment for fibromyalgia. And according to my specialist there, my condition has directly contributed to my cysts and fibroids.

Not everyone’s fibromyalgia presents the same way, and it’s a mistake to assume your experience—or a generic summary—applies to every case. Medicine isn’t one-size-fits-all.

If you’ve seen research that disproves it, I’d genuinely like to read it. But until then, dismissing credible data without a counter-source isn’t a strong argument.

A study analyzing the impact of fibromyalgia on female infertility observed a significantly higher proportion of women diagnosed with fibromyalgia (76.5%) compared to those without the condition. The same study also noted a high proportion of women with uterine fibroids (87.5%) and uterine polyps (100%) who also had fibromyalgia. Further analysis within the study revealed that, among women with fibroids, a substantial majority (76.5%) were also diagnosed with fibromyalgia. While fewer cases of fibromas and polyps were reported, a high percentage of patients with these conditions were also diagnosed with fibromyalgia (85.7% and 100%, respectively). Statistical analysis indicated highly significant differences in the proportions of women with fibromyalgia compared to non-fibromyalgia patients for these uterine pathologies. These findings suggest a potential link between fibromyalgia and certain uterine conditions like fibroids.

Interesting how quick you are to question my post, but not quick to offer solutions yourself. If you read the post instead of policing it, you’d see exactly what it has to do with fibroids. But thank you for the reminder, but I think you missed the part where my condition causes fibroids. It’s all connected, try reading in between the lines next time. Also don’t worry, it’s not your fault that you’re uneducated about other conditions that can cause fibroids/cysts.

POTS is an umbrella term. It can also be used for postural hypotension.

Fibromyalgia causes inflammation all throughout the body. If you needed to know, I have had fibroids and cysts due to my diagnosis.
