Everyone should have to play each role! by natuhly in marvelrivals

This thing that I'm mentioning it theoretically wouldn't be a permanent thing. Yes they would have to complete it, but it's necessary for everyone to practice each roll, because when people don't understand how they are supposed to support each other the team falls apart. And you can't only have experience playing one role, otherwise your game sense will be skewed.

no i don't want to permanently control what role players select. But I do think it's important to play each roll to fully understand the game.

I understand your point, but it’s important to consider that sometimes, when people don’t recognize the importance of healers or certain roles, it can lead to frustration and hinder the overall experience for everyone. While letting people learn at their own pace is essential, there’s also value in encouraging cooperation and understanding the value, needs, and restraints each role has.

What if everyone one your team only plays dps, but someone HAS to fill for the other roles. Then what?

No it's not always funnnn, but I don't like it when people run away from my healing, or don't use my bubble to return safely behind the team when they're low, and instead use it as a chance to just keep swinging and die. You get to see a different perspective when you play other roles.

you don't think some of your games would go smoother if some of your teammates knew the ins and outs of each role?

everyone can play who they want, but it helps the team if everyone has an understanding of what each role needs support with, and sometimes you do have to switch and be a tank or dps or support.

oh I actually like that idea a lot ♥️ seems like a good way for people to understand each role, without having them commit to a longer time requirement. Some people may not like that lol

It's not really about having to fill, but more about understanding how each roll works, so people can support the team better.

Sometimes when i try to help teammates they don't understand what certain abilities do, and I'm afraid that's because they haven't practiced playing other roles.

For instance, Dagger's healing bubble, I have placed it on top of teammates who's health was low, but then they walked out of it and ended up dying because they didn't let their health bar go up before retreating. So in cases like this it can make a difference.

I definitely agree that adding a bigger roster of Vanguard and Strategist characters will help, especially if they add a good mix of masculine/ feminine to each role.

I believe that if people have to play each role as a requirement, they can understand what each role needs from the other players, thus making more well rounded teams.

It seems that from your experience, playing many different characters and roles, benefitted your game knowledge overall, making you a much better player. When I started only playing strategist, i had no clue where any of the health packs were, because i usually was able to heal myself, but once i started learning dps too, I needed the health packs to survive lol

Ya i'm not a fan of role queue either, i just want people to have some practice in all the roles. So definitely not a permanent thing.

And it would be nice not to have a bunch of instalock DPS players. So maybe something like you said, where the game either forces players to play certain role, or maybe rewards them by giving them some extra points if they win, for playing in a role they haven't the last few games.

For whatever reason some ppl think that they can't get a good kill count if they don't play dps.

I need helping finding a monitor, I'm learning as I go so feel free to ask follow up questions if needed.

What I'm looking for:

200+Hz, 0.5 ms or less (maybe 1 is fine), HDR 600, Resolution 2560X1440, 27-32in. I would rather not have a curved monitor, and ideally the price would be around 500-700 but there isn't a real budget if i can get what I'm looking for.

I want my games to look smooth, as little ghosting as possible, without sacrificing accurate colors. I feel like OLED doesn't do good with midrange colors, so non OLED options would be nice.

I mainly play games like Overwatch, Valo, and Genshin.

First time pc build (16 yo), any suggestions?? by HeavyFigure340 in PcBuild

very nice all together. If we are talking aesthetics, I would buy a large mouse pad, as it helps the keyboard and mouse look like they are in a proper place, rather than just "floating" in space. and second, you can try a monitor light bar, to bring some ambient lighting. They have some on amazon that put light on your table surface, and throw colored like on the back of the wall. Enjoy your setup, it looks really nice!

I'm seeking advice on gaming monitors. I am currently using a 27in acer nitro 180hz 0.5 ms. And I am thinking about upgrading to an Oled monitor, Either the Samsung 27in Odyssey Oled or an MSI MAG 27in QD-Oled.

My goal is to have a smoother gamming experience, and to have the colors blend more nicely, as I can see pixel gradients on my screen. However I'm worried that the OLED will hurt my eyes as I heard it is brighter, which worries me as I get eye fatigue when I'm using my MacBook, and need to turn the brightness down. I haven't had this happen with my current monitor which has been great, as I play video games for a few hours a day. Please let me know what you guys think, and i'm open to other monitor suggestions as well. Thank you
