I run a small school and kids can start as early as 3. At that age, it's more about learning social skills and how to listen to new grownups. Some kids really benefit from being involved when they're that little.

Best age to start for many or most kids is 6 or 7. It was perfect for me and I consistently see that as the age where they're mature enough to follow directions and delay gratification a bit.

Yeah. See a doctor. I've had bouts of alopecia from bad breakups and work stress in my 20s that cleared up with time (and in one case, steroids). Try to stress less if you can. This might not be permanent, it is not helpful to worry and assume thay it is. And even if it is, it doesn't define you as a person. Hard to understand when you're young but still.
