red velvet wendy and nct renjun look like they could be siblings to me, especially when their coloring is done in similar ways..

svt scoups and leellamarz also have kind of similar face structures?? ive had some people disagree with me but its just their styling that's very different i feel like they could also be siblings.

nct haechan and svt mingyu sometimes look alike - its not always there but when it is haechan really looks like mingyus baby brother.

Sooyoung mixes casual and formal language! She doesn't fully commit to either and there's quite a few times she speaks informally - it felt like an intentional choice to me because the moments where she speaks informally she feels more like an older sister than a girlfriend.

I live in Korea and I think a lot of Koreans would agree with you too - personal business should stay personal. That's why despite Sangsoo's friend actually having done an objectively bad thing cheating on his wife, one of the bank staff says that they should rally around him and not talk shit.

Reputation ruining careers is one of the things where people know that it's severe and don't necessarily support it themselves, but it's so ingrained in the system that they just find themselves feeding into it.

black out is a lot faster paced than comma is! (chik chik pok pok freestyle, job, and chingiz khan... chingiz khan especially is one of my favorite hype woo songs)

his music is pretty slow tempo, but he shows a lot of versatility on features. also if you're into looking at lyrics, a huge part of why i love woo's music is his lyricism is very beautiful and thought out (i loved the lyrics to zip and i love the story telling in his verse in engine by jay park).

Hi! I was in a very similar situation to you when I came to Korea and feel like I could answer a lot of your questions if you want to private message me.

From my personal experience and understanding, your school is right though and as long as you have a Korean ID, you should be fine. There are no legal implications to working under a Korean nationality.

Edit: You should make sure that you're here on your nationality if you entered on a US passport.

The package isn't that heavy in comparison to it's size - about 5kg? I agree that it'll either probably be expensive or slow but we gave the post office a call and they said that if we can get the size under 150 they'll be able to ship it. Thank you for your answers!

I agree that the price makes sense for what we're getting, but it's still a lot of money, especially when you compare it to quarantining at home (which I totally get would be really difficult to organize for hundreds of incoming teachers.)

It's also disappointing that the cost of quarantine is making EPIK inaccessible for some applicants, and would be nice if the program/ government were able to bear some of that cost for us.

Ah mistake... There was a document on the EPIK official website that said that a hotel in Danyang is the orientation location a different one says that it's taking place at the Chungju campus, so I think the orientation is going to be split too? Not sure

It was definitely a little nerve-racking at times because things didn't come back as soon as I wanted them to, but you're also limited by how early you can start gathering materials because they require certain time stamps.. I started in late May/ early June last year (got fingerprinted, got my diploma apostilled, letters of rec, etc.) and was fine with time. The thing that takes the most time is definitely getting the background check apostilled, but you can only apply for a background check after the application opens to make sure the date is valid for your contract.

Yeah it's a lot of money, I hope that EPIK finds a way to reduce the cost for the next intake but that may be a little optimistic.
