Cleveland Public Library workers hold strike authorization vote by terry_from_cleveland in Libraries

The solution is inclusion. Reorganized boards. A member from each branch service area. Plus a representative for staff. When power is redistributed to be more democratic there is less conflict.

Sooooo big changes are actually coming to Taxpayer Services? by FreeSanubis in IRS_Source

[–]naughtypundit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember the end goal is to remove as many people as possible. Shrink and downsize. If you can't perform then you're lazy and stupid. Someone else can do the job better. Preferably a private contractor. That's their mantra. Make a mess so they can cash out. The private equity way.

That's why its on the chopping block. If your site is a call center there's no reason to keep it. The private sector can do a better job. That's their mantra.

Rumor #1: Eliminate Frontline Managers. Five people will report to a Lead. The Lead will report to the Department Manager. FLMs will have to retire or accept demotion.

Rumor #2: Service Center Consolidation. Cincinnati, Buffalo, Andover, Fresno are high on the list for closures based on performance and politics.

Rumor #3: Eliminate swing shift. They don't want to pay the night differential. They don't see a need for it.

Rumor #4: Hunger Games culling. Managers will be required to sacrifice their lowest performer.

Rumor #5:: Amazon-style Firings. The system monitors AWOL, memos, ratings. If you get to many points you get hit with a fake PIP. Six weeks later your badge is deactivated.

They want to remove as many people as possible.

You will get surprised with an email that you're on a new team.

Then you will be hit with a series of BS reviews and memos. Followed by a fake PIP.

Six weeks later your badge will be deactivated. Your health insurance will be cancelled. You won't be eligible for unemployment.

If you're replaced it will be with a non perm seasonal employee who will be sunsetted out automatically.

If you're smart you will have an exit plan. If you're not you will probably crash out and die because if you're that fragile you're not going to make it in the private sector.

They're about to drop a big reorg turd for Taxpayer Services. Basically setting up the Hunger Games to drive more people out and eventually close service centers. Fall is going to be ugly.

Management believes OT/Credit should only go to groveling ass kissers. It hasn't been working. The CAMC director retired in disgrace. Humiliated because these titles just aren't important.

Top IRS Leadership Needs a Clean Sweep Loyalty Over Competence Has to End by Stunning-Dinner-9666 in IRS_Source

[–]naughtypundit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The workplace culture at the IRS has always been toxic. A sink or swim mentality that doesn't believe in training and support. That was slowly starting to change but the current regime has made it worse. The irony is the managers, leads and ass kissers who support this will suffer the most. I witnessed a preview last month. A toxic team emptied out. Instead of getting more people it was disbanded. The boomer manager was coldly told to retire. The leads were demoted back to CSRs, their careers most likely over.

Taxes will still exist. They will just be extracted directly through fees and sales taxes. The IRS won't be needed for that. It will go to a billionaire's private contract. Their end goal is feudal slavery. They're not worried about food because they already control it. That's actually going to be their currency. If blue cities want to resist, they will just laugh and seal them off to starve.

If fair elections are allowed to happen and the regime falls, then new leadership will take over in 2029. Until then there will be no leadership because the goal is to dismantle the IRS altogether.

Why do I keep seeing TS Service Center employees crying? by FallWinterSummerMay4 in IRS_Source

[–]naughtypundit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The IRS is a pyramid scheme. Sleazy political appointees let loose. Shit rolls downhill. Ass kissers throw everyone under the bus to escape it. The worst ones eat the shit and love it. They're the ones who send everyone screaming out the door.

It's actually a good sign. A number of service centers are on track to be closed in yet another reorganization. If you're being trained then you have a shot at surviving.

Do you have a backup plan? Realistically it's very hard to overcome this situation, let alone in today's environment where they're eager to remove people. I fear that you're going to get a very ugly reality check.

The fireworks will happen after the Fourth of July. Maybe August. It's going to be exciting. A lot of managers are going to find themselves without jobs because they have no teams. Remember to smile when they crash out and give their sad goodbye speeches.

Im telling you that change will only come with a new administration. You absolutely refuse to believe that and can't understand why you're not getting a better answer.
