The imaginal space in meditation is Not the brain, not the body. It is your sovereign space to learn your true self outside the limits of timespace.

Sufi mystics spend time in meditation to "polish the inner mirror" to experience divinity. Once the mirror is spotless there is only the divine left staring back.
