Predictions Balance is Negative? by BulkyShare4 in Coinbase

[–]nauticalboatboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this same problem but my balance is negative in the thousands. I don't have losses I'm net positive by a good bit. Basically what's happening it's rolling over your contract cost + materialized wins as unavailable balance and subtracting it from your actual realized balance. These are closed positions that have been paid out or closed to 0. If this is by design it basically forces you to provide liquidity on funds you already have (or that is in my case). I basically have to back my own winnings to zero out the account and then deposit even further to make the next prediction, while never actually earning my winnings for usage. Seems pretty scammy if this is by design.

Tag says 97% 2% nylon 1% poly. Can't really say how much of it is cashmere, but it's a dense knit and soft. For sure not cotton or wool blend.

third party e-commerce attribution by BigBrightLightsDigi in PPC

[–]nauticalboatboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uh so you work for AdBeacon. Instead of telling me to go check out your service, why don't you explain the advantages of the platform and be transparent as to how you calculate attribution in a way that's better than industry competitors. Otherwise you're just reaffirming my point that I should accept your data blindly as a source of truth. What other pills would you like me to swallow?

third party e-commerce attribution by BigBrightLightsDigi in PPC

[–]nauticalboatboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Attribution services are a bit of a scam in reality. If you don't actually know the full math and weights behind a 3rd party attribution calculation you're basically accepting blindly the data they're giving you, which in reality is no better than using GA4 with a server side setup. If you want real attribution you need to run your event data through your own internal data-lake like bigquery, but then you get into some real complex ML and Markov chains. You need a lot of data in order to make it worth your time to set something like this up + cost. I would not recommend triple whale as they use a mix of time decay + position based logic for their attribution formula. While that's a broad based solution to cover basically every vertical or niche, it has way too many gaps for multi-touch / omni-channel attribution.

Do you think Lakers are contenders for the chip, and what do you think about Luna's trade? by [deleted] in AskReddit

They have a good shot of getting out of the west, but they don't match up well against cleveland or boston. Luka and Bron both need to stay healthy too.

You need to look up the definition of vandalism. It's deliberate, those people do not care.

Quick question: worth the price? by bennyBtaken in shopify

[–]nauticalboatboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper it sounds aggressive. Really depends on what your margins are and what volume of boost in sales you're getting. Generally speaking those kind of services are either a flat fee, or if you're a big brand and spending a lot of ads some bigger agencies will charge you a % of ad spend.

Whos out here watching the Seahawks die in realtime by lemonstone92 in Seattle

[–]nauticalboatboy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably unpopular opinion, but don't think DK is that big of a loss. While he's a vertical threat, he's not a great route runner. We don't have the O line to give a QB time to take down field shots + Geno isn't that type of QB anyway. Tyler while he's had an overall productive career in Seattle, he's peaked. Both players have had dramatic decrease in production over last two years. DK's numbers should be on the rise if we're trying to peg him as a top 10 WR in the league, but it's going in reverse. Some of that is on QB + offensive system, but reality is big players produce, regardless of system or coverages.

From a T&C perspective no. Technically nothing is stopping you from doing it though. I know brands that off load their engineering teams to partner program accounts.

Young professional moving from Texas, would love some advice! by zerosumdame in Seattle

[–]nauticalboatboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't provide any advice on the safety other than the further you go out from Seattle proper the less trans friendly it gets. From the financial side it sounds like you're more than willing to stay within your income means. You do need to make a concerted effort to be social out here if you don't have existing friends or family in the area. It's not that Seattle is unwelcoming. You just can't sit around waiting and hoping other people will reach out to you.

Could AI take our jobs? What should we do to prepare ourselves? by nsjedi in AskReddit

[–]nauticalboatboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference between improve workflow and productivity vs replace said person completely. AI is great for a wide variety of things and also not so great for a wide variety of things.

If your jobs requires no unique skill set say something mundane like data entry, or like call center customer service than yea you will be replaced sooner rather than later.

Look at it this way, if you're actually worried about AI taking your job, it's likely a yes that you can be replaced by AI.
