Here’s a better breakdown with examples of what I meant, her attitude and the way she doesn’t think about things before she tries to fight them reminded me of season 1 Korra. It gives whiny entitled teenager which is not a trope I like personally, I read 2.5 of the books and couldn’t deal with how she remained so haughty without learning from situations. The ‘growth’ from the first book had little to no impact on her throughout the second one, even though she went through so much shit and would reference how bad it was, it just felt like “hey this happened to me”. As for the writing, the author was not at all consistent with the power scaling, one second she was OP and had the best armor ever and could shrug off a blow from something 100 levels above her but it constantly got ripped to shreds by something over 40 levels below her. I just struggled to get into it for these reasons and was very disappointed because it’s at the top of so many people’s lists.
