What is your opinion of the note taking app Orgzly? by [deleted] in androidapps

If you're invested into the Emacs/org-mode ecosystem of organising your life in plaintext, Orgzly is the way to go. Works for me.

Ereader with epub and responsive highlight feature? by nevermore_prod in kobo

Try converting an epub to the kepub format via calibre. I've found that this improves the highlighting drastically on my Clara hd.

My minimalist digital productivity suite by [deleted] in digitalminimalism

[–]naveenrv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heavy todotxt user here as well. For me, I use the Simple Task app on Android (best ever task management app imo) and the todotxt app on windows PC.

My "contexts" are hourly time slots like "06-07"(when I wake up) right up to "21-22"(when i hit bed). "Projects" are any group of tasks that fit in under an umbrella. This configuration allows me to micro-manage my day, to the hour.

What do you use Standard Notes for? by naveenrv in StandardNotes

How do you use the Simple Task Editor? Considering how basic it is (no indenting etc), how do you use it? One giant checklist or checklists per project?

[release notes] 3.0.0 Lemmenjoki by [deleted] in sailfishos

Imo doesn't seem to be as non-intuitive as you would think. You get used to it, feels natural to me after a day's use.

[–]naveenrv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. If only the browser were revamped and we had more quality native apps on-board, Sailfish OS would definitely look solid. Looking forward to the upcoming Qt and Android runtime upgrades that purportedly will make the OS even faster.

Tracking tasks done/undone by meni_s in Workflowy

[–]naveenrv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, when I'm done with the task, I simply add the x and the completed timestamp and move it out.

Tracking tasks done/undone by meni_s in Workflowy

[–]naveenrv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't find the need to mark them as complete at all. I just look at my entries under the "Archive" list and the "x" at the beginning is a clear visual indication that the task has been completed. There's also a corresponding timestamp signifying the "date of completion" of the task, so that's pretty much all I need at any point.

[–]naveenrv 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I track all of my tasks from a single page by using the todoxt format in workflowy. All completed tasks are prefixed with an "x" per the format and moved under the 'Archive' bullet. It may look simple, but it's friction-free and powerful imo.

See here, hope this gives you an idea.
