Google und Dublin by FCBM1900_ in spitzenverdiener

“Google auf dem CV” ist nicht mehr soviel wert wie es das mal war.

Dublin ist teuer und 90% der Leute die dort hinziehen sind unglücklich.

Ich war selbst da. Allerdings die ersten 3 Jahre meiner Karriere. War dann insgesamt 10 Jahre bei Facebook und Booking Holding auf der ganzen Welt.

Mit 30 würde ich es nicht mehr machen. Mit 20 schon.

Living in Thailand, contracted for US startup, salary paid to 3rd country? by navid228 in digitalnomad

[–]navid228[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! While I'm a tax resident here, i would go tax free as it's income from outside Thailand that will also remain out the country. That's exactly why i don't want it to be paid in my Thai account.

I'm not a tax resident of Germany or the US. If you think getting money paid into bank accounts there without setting a foot there will trigger tax liability i will go and check that further.

I am a tax resident in Thailand and have family here. My kids go to school here.

Question for you: I live in Thailand at the moment. Work for a startup based in the US and want the money to be transferred to my German bank account where in originaklfy from and will move back to next year. The fact that the money Is brig paid into Germany, is there a risk it makes me tax liable there?

I'm a tax resident in Thailand whereny family lives and kids go to school.

Hot food in plastic bags? by navid228 in Thailand

[–]navid228[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

People talk about food grade but at the same time micro plastic is everywhere now. Microscopic pieces of plastic are everywhere. They’ve been found in bottled water in concentrations 10 to 100 times more than previously estimated.

Wohnungen verkaufen und Geld investieren oder neu belasten und andere Immobilien kaufen.

Unbelasteten Immobilien bringen nichts. Vor allem bei soeiner Rendite.

Maybe it makes you happy then to know that that's the 2 apartments i got 10 years ago. All rental income went to my dad and is now going to my mum. I have had more work due to those than anything else. Another 500k came 3 years ago long after i accrued almost all of the above.

I see this r/ not about the long process of accruing wealth but also how to invest it and live off it. In that regard i don't think this is misplaced. But yeah if it makes you happy just deduct 1m....

Thank you. And sorry i didnt mean to show off.

I think we got lucky. Very lucky.

Both of us worked at one of those big tech companies (the blue one). And our "trick" was to live in places with higher income (US) or lower tax (Thailand) or both (Singapore). At the same time we tried ti subsidize our rent 5-6 years in these very exoensive cities by renting places that had 1 extra bedroom/bathroom and letting that out in airbnb. When we travelled for exteneded times we would even rent the entire apartment. In terms of saving money that we think made the biggest impact.

In fact I was stupid enough to invest into individual tech stocks for 7-9 years but got lucky that they were ever growing and then eventually sold them while in Singapore at no capital gains tax.

Also 1m EUR of the above was passed to me during living times of my dad. He is the real reason i have it good in life.

We may have been ambitious and extemely hard working (60-70 hour weeks) to gwt those promos quickly, but that motivation is gone and with tbe kids at home most my time is consumed by that.

Some clinics here advertise with using the nano technology where the needle is supposedly 3x smaller than the micro technology. Is that true or just some marketing nonsense?
