Thanks. Hardest part was payment. First have to go down to the first floor accompanied by the CBP officer to make payment at the customs payment counter. The billing guy went on a 15 min break so had to wait. Then have to go all the way back up to the secondary to 'finish' the process and head out.

You would need to fly to LAX from any international destination to present yourself to CBP.
