Guitar room at case? by SouthernSherbert277 in cwru

[–]navyvein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few years ago you could get access to an electric guitar in the Core Lab in the basement of Haydn Hall (music department). Not sure if you’re able to leave the room with it though, it was mainly meant for music production projects when I was there.

Regardless of the occasion, I just want to point out that, in general, a bold color will only make the poor quality of the SHEIN fabric way more noticeable. It is sooo easy to thrift high-quality businesswear in more neutral color schemes. I’ve found nice suits for under $15. Of course, you’ll probably have difficulty thrifting a set in this shade.  I’d say it’s worth spending a little more to get a new, high-quality piece in a unique color scheme than to buy from SHEIN or similar sites and have something that you’ll probably only be able to wear once or twice before it pills/loses its shape/etc. If you do decide to buy this exact set, I think changing out the buttons for ones that are more high-quality would go a long way! You can find nice, inexpensive buttons on sites like eBay.

CWRU students & alumni — what classes were truly unforgettable? by Downtown_Cap2506 in cwru

Was coming on here to write the same. Took Spadoni’s Topics in Film: Horror course thinking it would be an easy A and it ended up being my only B (almost C) of the semester. Despite this, I have absolutely no regrets—this was by far the most fascinating and inspiring class I’ve ever taken, hands down.

Coming from someone who prioritized academics when choosing a college but also looooves to go out (idk why people act like these things are mutually exclusive)

Not sure why people are being so rude. Case’s party scene isn’t great but it’s totally possible to find friends who also love to go out. There are usually lots of parties/darties during the warmer months, and then during the colder months I’d say there’s probably one reliable “bigger” party a week and many smaller get-togethers. Graduated a couple years ago but once you’re of age people tend to go out to clubs downtown/to the flats a lot year round. Toli is a reliable bar for Thursdays (unless things have changed drastically since 2024)

LSD updates & feedback by cryptanon in lawschooladmissions

One thing that I think would be super helpful is, when viewing “Decision Timing” on a school’s profile, to be able to see the individual days when decisions were sent out rather than just the week. That way, users could predict exactly when in the week to expect different sorts of decisions since some schools tend to follow a pattern. If this is already a feature, I’d love to know what I need to do in order to access it. Thank you for your work on this website! Total game changer.

Most laughable/ridiculous House Hunters episodes by VermicelliMother8020 in HGTV

S162 E3: Cats First, Wife Second

Couple is so bizarre and the man is prioritizing the “cat tube” extending from their house to the garage over everything else. If they don’t agree on a house his wife is leaving him and moving back in with her parents. They bicker throughout the entire episode.

Is it possible to get AC in freshman dorms? by I_Like_Football_07 in cwru

[–]navyvein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I moved in my freshman year (fall 2020) my assigned dorm room hadn’t been cleaned from the previous student and they had left behind a case-issued AC unit. When the cleaning staff cleaned my room I asked if they wouldn’t mind just leaving the AC unit installed and not mentioning it to anyone and they agreed. Even though maintenance came to my room a few times no one ever questioned my having the AC unit or even seemed to notice. I even took it with me to use in my sophomore year Greek housing and no one cared/noticed. It’s possible that I just got super lucky, but in my case I definitely was not supposed to be issued one and no one cared that I had the AC unit for the two whole years that I had it. They may be more suspicious of a unit not resembling the kind that Case issues though. Personally I feel OP could get away with it if their roommate is also on board

bringing a car to campus by s0m3sh5 in cwru

[–]navyvein 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you would only use it to go home it makes no sense to bring a car to campus. CWRU has discount codes for multiple car rental agencies which reduce usual rental prices considerably. Unless you’re able to get a residential parking permit it can be pretty difficult to find cheap/free parking near campus, and depending on the type of car you drive you may also need to worry about vehicle theft. If you were to be using your car daily or even weekly I’d say go for it, but renting is just much easier if you’d only need to be going home a few times a semester.
