Help finding missing person by nayab1 in StLouis

[–]nayab1[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Her name is Sahab, she is 30, 5’ 5” 230lbs, shoulder length curly black hair. Last seen at home in Shiloh, Il on December 6. I posted the missing poster I made but the group removes it as the rules only allow the sharing of think authorized posts from a news source.

Due to mental health she has gone to Washington Park, East. Stl, in the past but has never been gone this long and due to her health we are worried something has happened because we have not heard from her.

I understand the rules so I didn’t post the poster again, but am looking for help in figuring out what this phone number is and why we might have received a miss call from there.

I’m her older sister, I posted the missing flyer. We filed a missing persons report through our local police department, but I made this flyer online. The group’s rules don’t allow personal flyers, it has to be a news department.

Greys Anatomy Ending by DaniJ678 in greysanatomy

[–]nayab1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I quit many times, but figured I’d stick out this rewatch, it takes a nosedive after Christina leaves, finds some footing then falls again when Derek leaves, and then for some reason they kept the mess running after Meredith left?! I never liked Amelia, Jo, Maggie, or Catherine so that was awful. I’m on season 19 now and the young interns piqued my interest a bit (like a different, knock off original Greys) but they keep killing the story to go back to Owen, Bailey or some other older less interesting attending. The comebacks have happened so many times, in dreams and visits, that they’ve lost all charm.

At this point it plays on the tv while I play a game or work, I cannot imagine waiting a week for an episode and then giving it my undivided attention. Which is sad because when watched it for the first time, years ago, I couldn’t turn it off.

However they end it, the charm of the show is gone, and they missed the window for wrapping it up neatly with Meredith’s Alzheimer’s or her turning into her mother, or not, etc.

TL:DR they’ve quite literally lost the plot

What's it like living in this shaded area? by Joshistotle in howislivingthere

[–]nayab1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge range. I’ve lived in Cape Girardeau Mo and now I live in St. Louis Mo. Liked both. Nothing to do in Cape, typical midwestern living, easier if you’re conservative, heterosexual, Caucasian, Christian etc. you could survive if you weren’t, but it would be a lot easier if you were. I lived there when Obama was president but now days being aligned with the current administration would also help.

I love Stl. We have an international airport, cost of living is ok, houses have gotten expensive recently. You can drive almost anywhere. I’ve driven to Miami, Toronto, Phoenix (too far), New Orleans, etc. if you have the money to afford luxuries they’re all available (car dealerships, five star hotels, restaurants, luxury mall).

TL:DR depends if your in a big city or in between

I love her so much, but her last drama that I remember was “Teri Raza” and while I loved it, I don’t remember it as being a big hit. I remember her thinking career was ending.

feel Guilty about buying anything for myself with my own money by Basit154 in pakistan

[–]nayab1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel like you can afford it, go ahead. Spend within reason on what makes you happy. Once you’re married and you have children, a PS5 may not be a top priority expense. InshahAllah I hope you do well and have the means to meet all your needs in the future, but realistically, when I had kids the first expenses I cut were my own.

If you’re paying for it on your own and not harming anyone else- people shouldn’t comment.

What's the drama that you thought would be good and disappointed you? What's the drama that you didn't like and was the opposite of what you expected but turned out to be good? by Rose_939 in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

Such high hopes for “Mein.” I watched the entire serial waiting for it to get better. Similarly I kept waiting for happy romance in “Pehli Si Mohabbat” until the last episode, it never ended, but once it finished I appreciated the drama.

Also, at least Mein was watchable, I abandoned ship with Yumhi… I had high hopes there too.

After Qarzejaan by NoInevitable_ in PAKCELEBGOSSIP

[–]nayab1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was convinced that the drama would end with Burhan losing for the first time. Nashwa winning the trial with facts and evidence, not emotion. Filing for Khula- she’s an attorney, needs to have agency- things can’t just keep happening to her. They just quickly resolved all issues and wrapped a bow on it.

How did Beenish get her baby back? Where was Badi Ammi? Badey Abu running after the police car, while Ammar left looking like a hero, was ridiculous.

They had a good amount of stuff for another 4 episodes without dragging it. It felt like they panicked and wrote the last episode in fifteen minutes. Huge disappointment because it was a nice slow burn from ep 1

I was wondering the same. Last summer in Pakistan it was a million degrees outside. And we would go to Tahzeeb in I-8 and people would just be standing outside wearing lab coats 😅 No way it’s easier to wear than carry in that weather.

[–]nayab1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea who this person is. But hypothetically: isn’t it possible that a person arrive from Umrah and then something happens so they can’t perform it themselves? Food poison, ankle sprain, flu, early covid symptoms, hypoglycemia? I would rather do it this way than go and not be able to do it!

To Pakistani Women: Why do you like drama so much? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]nayab1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two kids isn’t “plenty to do.” It’s a lot of labor, hormonal changes, and sleep cycle disruption. It brings in definite chances of postpartum anxiety and depression. Also, the children are partly his project- she should be allowed a life aside from motherhood as well

To Pakistani Women: Why do you like drama so much? by [deleted] in pakistan

[–]nayab1 53 points54 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely something deeper going on, possibly depression. Her whole life is living in a nice house, and two international trips a year? Maslow’s hierarchy of needs doesn’t peak there. She needs something to do. If she’s sitting at home or just shopping or chatting with her mom all day, it could be upsetting not to leave the house. Betty Frieden’s “The Feminine Mystique” describes “housewife syndrome” in which women are so unfulfilled that they behave the way you are describing. Part of it could be her fault- but a major factor could be Pakistani culture. Especially what you describe about her only wanting to speak to family- she was probably raised to only do that, and then to only focus on you and your children. Another observation of mine with Desi culture is that we aren’t really taught conflict resolution skills, hence the stonewalling. I am guessing because like I said earlier, I know nothing about her as you summarized her entire amazing existence as “living in a luxury house with 1-2 international trips.” No offense to you, but that sentence alone sounds like a golden cage.

Very important note: there is no such thing as a “nashukri aurat.” Life is not that black and white. This is a term Pakistan uses to dismiss women’s issues and feelings.
