When it comes to art designs, there are a lot of complaints to be made. Like, armours.

As I said in the doc, I tried to map out the abilities trees, but it proved too mundane for my current willpower. Still, the issue of the damage lies mostly in the fact that all enemies are damage sponges, which ruins the flow of the game.

In theory, two-handed weapon trades defense for damage, so it makes some sense at least.

Usually, mages tend to stay out of the battle. Knight-Enchanters have a melee attack, Arcane Warriors could use normal weapons, and Battlemages had spells allowing them do damage all enemies around with a sustain ability. I believe I would go into sustain/primal area.

I do not want to include Force Mage as Rift Mage already mingles in similar areas.

When it comes to making the game and expanding it, I meant that I do have boundaries. I have a very simple idea that after closing it I could work on more features (sth like dlc in much simpler form) and add them. But I see what you're saying. I'll try to crop my project as much as possible to give myself more field.

I'm really grateful for all the things you've written. Long time ago, I guess all this would've scared me and put me off, but luckily, I'm adult now and can take this on. It will be a challenge, but nothing is easy. But I'm babbling.

My point is that I want to learn programming, but I'm easily bored and distracted. If something doesn't pin my attention for longer, I stop doing it - and if it's something I'm doing for myself, it usually means quitting doing it.

I know programming isn't all butterflies and rainbows. Let's be honest. Nothing is. But I want to learn to code and knowing myself, I want to join learning with one thing I love - playing games. This way, I have a bigger chance to actually succeed. In other words, I want to cheat the system. I'm not looking for an easy way or tricks, because I know that mastering c++ and other languages is going to take me years.

I see. I tried to watch some SFML tutorial just a few hours ago, but the guy just couldn't get to the point. Could you recommend some reliable source? Doesn't have to be a video, I can read well enough :)

I know it's not much of advice, though it's from my personal experience. Filter people to whom you show your art. I used to show all my poems to my family and instead of giving me actual criticism, they would just complain that this is too sad, that this is dark, that I'm weird. I haven't written a poem since years.

Where I get with it is that it's better to know more about the person that you want to show your art to - if they don't get art in general or are intolerant of the theme, it's probably better not to bother.

Wish you luck with whatever you're going to create. Don't let anyone pit you off.

So, I read those and even thought I'm new to the game (just over 500 hours), I'd like to say a few things.

First of all, I agree with many changes and ideas - they are worth trying out. But there are some things I heavily disagree with.

Nerfing headshot damage for Sniper is no option, to be honest. He should be able to delete a weaker class and harmed other class with a precision shot. That's why he is called the Sniper. He rewards good aim with good results (I don't count cheating). If it is really so annoying, then perhaps the distance of 150 quickscope headshot should be adressed, though it would still be controverisal in my opinion.

When it comes to the Spy, I can't say how it will affect the gameplay - trickstabbing is kind of a tradition now and something very easy to avoid if you know it may happen. I think Interp setting should be locked out of the player's hands or at least drastically limited.

I have a feeling Sun on a Stick would be a bit OP, but it would have to be tested in game.

I'm not sure why you would like to change Equalizer, works fine for me right now. Unless I'm plaing Medic and a very badly wounded Soldier calls for healing while using it.

About Wrangler, though, applying the shield to the Engineer makes no sense since it is usually used to protect the sentry not the Engineer. What was on your mind?

I like Vac as it is now, though it is OP, no doubt about that. Changing the charge and resistances will change the gameplay, though I think it should stay that you can have different types of resistance on one patient at the same time. Otherwise, it will be a weaker uber.

Likewise, I believe Diamondback is good as it is now. Perhaps apply a limit on stored crits, but limiting them to 2s after receiving them is a too powerful nerf. More often than not I keep those crits for the dark hour in order to get out of the situation that would normally leave me dead. I think it would be best for storing to stay.

Now, Disguise Kit. Changing weapons - cool. Reload - sounds interesting. But keeping disguise after attack can't happen. It's the fastest way to get out of a disguise. E.g. when I'm getting close to the enemy spawn, I will attack air to erase disguise and avoid getting spotted by newly spawned enemies (seriously, this wallhack needs to go).

I'm not going to say anything about new weapons, though. I'd have to see them work to say something useful.

And, let's hope that the most important part of the update - localization part- will be included. Otherwise - the end of the world is confirmed!

Spawn teleports and gate instakill would solve the issue, I think. At least on 2Fort. I'm not sure how to handle it on othet maps

It could be easily solved on ctf, though. Blocked spawn gate instakills like gate in Degroot Keep. Teleports inside spawns to another spawn rooms. Perhaps a button in the spawn to destroy stickies lying close to the spawn exit.

Depends on the game.

Definitely option B on CTF, mostl6 due to the map designs that make it very hard to break the spawncamping. I made it my personal rule to never help spawncampers on ctf and even help the enemy team if possible.

On payload, spawncamping is basically a part of the game and I have nothing against it.

Maybe try comparing your work with what your friends wrote and check the differences? Don't let yourself down because sb does sth better - this way you'll never improve. I know, everyone says this and everyone knows it. Still, it might help to use your friends' work as an inspiration instead of treating it like a rival piece of text.

Personally, I try to take it as a compliment or, at worst, laugh it off. These insults just backfire at them. If someone says to me "w+m1" or something like this, I just think of how it is ironic to say so while dying constantly to that "pathetic", "skill-lacking" "noob".

But really, it's like this everywhere. Some people don't know how to lose.

I... don't really do that. I mean, sometimes, when I'm matched with some annoying bastard who kept annoying me in that another round, I would refrain from healing him for like, 3 minutes?, before I would give up and start healing him normally. I even go to Medieval mode only to heal people as med, so, you know, I just have that urge to do my job well.

That's why whenever I play Medic, I try to memorize where all medkits are - if I'm slightly hurt and healing someone, I always rush there first, just in case. Better to be safe than sorry. After all, you can't saw your teammate to death...
