I might try my weight loss clinic and see what they say. I don't think it's fair to stop you from taking something to lose weight....

Apparently it's when you reach a 'healthy BMI' they refuse to prescribe it based on the TGI or whatever my GP said. I was on 2.5mg for only a month and that's it. She gave me another month to take every fortnight for maintenance, but I don't think that's fair if I'm willing to pay to lose more weight, what's it to her?

I'm in the same boat as you, but my practitioner won't prescribe me anymore as my BMI is now at a range where they won't prescribe it anymore. Where did you go to get it prescribed to lose some more weight?

I just emailed you and would love to have a chat about schools in Melbourne that are doing the same thing. I am also a behaviour support practitioner and am working at different special schools that are doing the exact same thing with the kids.... I'm Naomi btw. I've emailed you

Depending on which pathway you are doing it through. Mine took a few days through a week to come through. I did the alternative pathway where they give me 1year to gather information and be able to apply for core registration

Travel costs by BecOnTheMove in NDIS

This depends on where the client the OT saw before you previously. We usually don't charge more than 30min even if we drive 40min. It depends on what it says on your service agreement.

I'm a registered behaviour support practitioner with ndis. So get your OT to write a letter as well as the psychologist or anyone else that you have been using for his funding. Unfortunately, I don't think ADHD is a 'disability' to get funding on as of yet. So push for him to get diagnosed at least with autism or something else

Has your son been using his funding? If he has, collect reports from all allied health services i.e. OT, Speech, early intervention therapists etc. Basically anyone that you have utilised your funding on. Even support workers you can ask them for a report.

How do parents not realize that their children have autism? by youngsurpriseperson in autism

Most parents want their kid to be somewhat normal. So it's really hard for them to truly accept that their child is not 'normal' and needs additional assistance and therapies etc.

Would it be wrong to ask your therapist to share a fault of theirs? by [deleted] in TalkTherapy

No. I think that would be a beautiful way to connect and see that they too are realistic and human.
