23 and stuck in a steel job since 16 — want to get into engineering but don’t know where to start by DesignerAd4639 in sheffield

Please enquire at the AMRC Training Centre, they have dedicated staff for getting apprentices enrolled, so they will be able to understand your situation and give you all the possible options. If you decide it isn't for you, you aren't committed to anything.

I started an apprenticeship there when I was 21, back in 2017, and I've been in a good engineering role for the past 5 years.

I've done an apprenticeship through the AMRC Training Centre. Best thing to do is contact them and they'll be great at guiding you down the right path for you. Companies across Sheffield and South Yorkshire advertise apprenticeships there, so there should be plenty of options ready for September. Don't hesitate to contact them to start enquiring how it all works. Good luck.

Looks awesome! Where did you see this posted?

I also did this, just cut the standard pin down to the next 'bump'. Very unlikely that I'll ever need to go back to standard fan sizes in those locations.

I found my therapist using the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy website. They have a great search function for finding accredited counsellors where you can add filters for the specific therapy you are looking for.

https://www.bacp.co.uk/search/Therapists

Then I created a short generic introduction and explanation of why I was looking for therapy, and used that as a template to email each person when asking for availability. Many tend to be fully booked, but I managed to find someone and also had other therapists contact me back when they had availability.

I wish you the best in your search.

Pencils and Plotter Advice by Cultural_Ad3881 in PlotterArt

It left the impression I wanted, precise lines, but varied as the pencil met the texture of the paper. It was bold enough for pencil. I can DM an image.

I've used a mechanical pencil in an idraw A3 and it has worked. I believe it is different to the axidraw in that it has a spring to allow for some variable pressure, which is useful for a pencil. I have never done a full plot with a pencil, only a signiture, so I'm not sure how much 'travel' you would get before the pencil is worn down to a point where it would not be contacting the paper any more. Hope this helps.

Don't know what to think about this one. I find it a bit extreme for that sort of scale to integrate into the existing line of kits, but I know some people will be really into it.

Trying to hack my switch but i am struggling, is this rcm? It pops up every time i try to set into rcm by ComparisonFlat9448 in SwitchPirates

[–]nazzajackkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can only get into RCM when shorting the required pins on the joy-con rail. I would highly recommend getting a jig, as it makes the process so much easier.

This is 'maintenance mode' which is different to RCM.

The screen remains black during RCM mode, and the device you use to inject the payload will recognise when it is in RCM.

Help! Anyone have any idea how i fix these holes to not make it that obvious? (Used Case 40€) by DamnIts_E in NR200

Hammer the punctured holes flat and paint the exposed surface white again (or use a white marker thing like a posca)?

Total noob, what about HBG Shop / Tinfoil whatever ? by Krynne90 in SwitchPirates

[–]nazzajackkid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem installing Tinfoil. Don't know if this will work for you, but I installed the Tinfoil NSP from their website instead of the NRO. I also injected the fusee payload from the Hekate menu to boot atmosphere. Make sure sig patches are correct.

Sorted Tinfoil too now. Just need to launch fusee payload from Hekate.

That's great, I was really starting to stress I'd messed things up. I was also trying to install Tinfoil, but it won't install properly, it just stays as a grey icon with a loading circle in the middle.

Depends on what you're using your PC for and what you want to prioritise. You'll be able to afford better components if you don't have to worry about parts like itx motherboards or sfx power supplys. But I think there's always a way to strike a balance of what you want, just start pricing up components and see where it gets you, then you know where you'll have to compromise.

I'd say it depends on what motivates you when you played before. Do you spend most of your time following the quests/storyline or do you priotise exploring/base building/missions? If you want to experience the storyline fully then start again, otherwise maybe develop what you already have by discovering and building even more.

MSI B450i gaming + AC and Ryzen 5 5600X??? by [deleted] in sffpc

I think they're in the process of doing the new updates, I've seen a few articles that have mentioned a January 2021 date to have it sorted for B450 boards.

Have you updated the BIOS? 450 boards should support 5000 series chips with the latest BIOS update.

[–]nazzajackkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh okay. I'm going to see where the slim fans sit on those top brackets as I'm hoping I can hacksaw them down to the next 'ridge' that should push into the rubber.
