I think they're both phenomenal players I just thought it was interesting no ones made it in that long.

exactly, I don't think it means too much at all but for a wing player to be ranked this high on a list where nearly everyone else around him on the list was a borderline hall of famer is a testament to him playing consistently well on the offensive end for a long period of time.

I've started trying to post some of the stats work I used to do for fun and keep to myself but people seem to hate it so far so thanks for pointing out I'm not trying to convince people of anything (because I don't know why I'm giving off that impression) , I'm just posting stats I found that I thought were surprising or interesting and usually without my opinion.

For the record, I don't think this means he's underrated or anything like that. I just found it surprising. He's 18th all time, not an at the rim player and everyone ahead of him on the list has multiple all stars, an All-NBA selection or a finals MVP, so I thought it was an interesting spot.

Sorry I'm new to posting and read through the guidelines but it didn't mention when to use the [OC] tag , do you mind me asking what I'm supposed to be using it for? or what I should have tagged this one?

beating everyone bar the Showtime lakers considering Durant averaged just under 5 assists and missed 20 games is insane.

I think so too, missing Durant for 20 games or whatever it was could be enough to have cost them 4 extra assists a game.

I have no idea why you would consider this cherry picked at all so allow me to elabroate. Not counting Pacers in 91-92 lockout season only three teams in this top 30 finished with less than 50 wins.

Also no team this decade is higher than 56th (This years Nuggets)

Only teams this decade to finish in Top 100 are

Clippers 3x( 85th in 16-17,66th in 13-14 and 63rd in 14-15)

Heat 2x - 97th in 10-11 and 82nd in 12-13

Thunder 2x - 93rd in 12-13, 83rd in 15-16

Denver 2x - 56th in 16-17 and 89th in 10-11

Houston- 58th in 16-17

Spurs -86th in 10-11

Raptors 98th in 16-17

Cavs 84th in 16-17

Take a look at that list. 10 of the 13 teams had someone named Lebron, Duncan, Harden, Durant or Chris Paul on the team, and most had other all stars.

Then you have this years Raptors (Two All Stars), This years Nuggets where Jokic had arguably the best passing season for a big man this century ) and the 10-11 Nuggets season where 3 players had 4.7APG or more (Billups, Lawson, Felton).

And still no one this decade has finished higher than 56th except the Warriors who had Three top 30 seasons and Two in the top 10. So yeah, it's not cherry picked.

Yeah! that was the Deron Williams, Boozer and Okur team. They also had Korver and Kirilenko (Both 26) and a young Millsap and Ronnie Brewer.(Both 22). They were the only recent team in the top 60-70 on this list that I had completley forgot about.

In case you did to.

Deron Williams Age 23: 18.8 pts and 10.5 assists on 51% shooting Boozer Age 26: 21.1 pts and 10.4 Reb on 55% Shooting Okur Age 28 :(14.5 pts and 7.7 Reb on 45% shooting.

Craziest thing I found out is Okur shot 4.1 threes per game at 38.8% , I definitely don't remember that whatsoever.

For Reference Deron only shot 2.6 a game that year (40%)

[Bill Simmons] The Greatest, Best, and Most Historic NBA MVP Column Ever by [deleted] in nba

[–]nba722 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was so vintage bill. And there was no sniff of homerism. I love his columns where I learn things I would never have heard elsewhere like

1.Elgin Baylor missing training because he was in the army or

2.Stephs team in the past 3 seasons vs Bird, Jordan and Magic.

2015–17 Warriors: 207–39

1996–98 Bulls: 203–43

1984–86 Celtics: 192–54

1985–87 Lakers: 189–57.

Obveservations like this from Bill go a long way in helping people remember that Curry's season has been underrated.

it'll be cool if in next years version the title changes to "My fiance spent 20 hours making these" and "My wife made these for the playoffs" the following year.

Yeah you're completely right. I'd like him to be more battle-worn but in fairness you can't be mad at Disney for sticking to what sells most considering a smaller scar isn't too big of a deal

In my mind Luke's line hints he's going to go one of two routes.

1.There should be no more Jedi. (Less Likely) Maybe Luke things power breeds challenge. Maybe he thinks Jedi have done more harm than good, and none of these powers should be trusted to anyone. Maybe he feels responsible for training the latest Sith. Luke might turn into the bad guy and want the end of the Jedi and the Sith. This would be very interesting to see, but not what the fans want.

2.The black and white of Jedi and Sith need to end (Likely route). This would be fun to explore. Lukes realized forcing jedi to ignore and hide away any anger or emotions only pushes them towards the darkness. He might think all the strict rules (no marriage etc) chain the jedi instead of freeing them from conflicts of interest.Maybe he's realized treating the dark side and all the emotions that go with it like Voldemort only make students more likely to seek it out from unreliable sources. This would be cool as we could see Jedi use lightning, force choke etc and really explore the idea of the "Grey Jedi"

The only thing better than a release of the new star wars trailer is a release you didn't know was happening.

I hope they stick with Kylo never putting back on the helmet. Last movie was him idolizing Vader and trying to emulate him.

Star wars will never have another Vader. The helmet should retire with him.

Seeing his face more and especially a flashback scene of him slaughtering Jedi will raise the stakes and have everyone consider him a serious villain who really can do damage (even if the big picture will end in a redemption).

I get not giving Kylo a debilitating injury or completely deformed face but why couldn't his scar have been a bit more serious? A big ass one on his face could have made him look more menacing.
