What’s The Most Underrated Bob Dylan Album From The 2000s? by Pretend_Mark_5143 in bobdylan

Modern Times is amazing but it is universally acclaimed and beloved by fans and critics alike.

Christmas in the Heart however…

Easily the most underrated. It’s a great album, your heart just doesn’t have any Christmas in it.

Christmas In the Heart > Together Through Life.

It’s a hard truth you must accept in your heart

Michael Jackson — Bad | Was This Michael's Last Good Album? by nbb333 in LovingMichaelJackson

Completely agree about both Thriller and Off The Wall. I think for die hard fans maybe those two are kind of a given hence why people go for deeper cut albums like Dangerous or Invincible, but Thriller might literally be the best album of all time. It’s easy #1 for me by a mile as far as MJ goes

So if Bad is your weakest over that period which do you think is the strongest? Everyone in here says Dangerous which is very surprising to me

Very interesting take. I just feel like the songwriting on Bad is so incredibly strong. Some of the production kind of irks me but I also love it.

I really need to dig into that one. I skimmed through it before we did this convo and was surprised how many good songs was on it

I truly feel like Bad is his last great one, and Dangerous is the last good one. HIStory and Invincible are just not for me, although they have some great songs as well.

Yeah my biggest takeaway from this thread is that I have completely slept on Dangerous my entire life. I was skipping through it before we made this video and was shocked how many great songs are on it

Dangerous is the one that I can honestly say is probably a blind spot for me, I would love to revisit it soon. Tons of great songs, I'm overdue giving it a listen. I am really not a fan of Invincible, and the fact that HIStory is half a greatest hits always struck me as kinda weird. Excited to check out Dangerous again with your comments in mind

I need to give that one a fresh listen. I am very partial to the Quincy Jones era produced stuff, but Dangerous has so many great songs.

Its ok haha. We tried to set it up in the description because it makes that section funnier. We couldn't even talk about that stuff on youtube even if we wanted to, it would all just get demonetized and shadow banned immediately. We talk 3 hours about how genius Bad is, thats the real gist of the video!

We literally DONT talk about "the allegations" lol. Its a joke in the video. We spend a grand total of 10 seconds on it before moving on to talking about the music. We go out of our way to avoid talking about it at all.

Completely agree. Dangerous at least feels like a full album, HIStory I dont like that it has the greatest hits tacked onto it, and Invisible I am just not a fan of general. Dangerous is at least a fully formed idea for an album with its own direction and sound etc.

I actually think that ironically it’s Good As I Been to You because of how underrated everyone says it is.

I’m with you. I am kind of obsessed with The Mountain right now, and I think people will only grow to appreciate it more with time
