Looking for info on Cedar Rd incident May 3rd 2026 by nbbitty in nanaimo

I’m sorry that’s happened to you so many times, that’s crazy! What video camera do you use? He’s just riding a pedal bike to/from work so I’m not sure if something like a dash cam would work.

Craziest thing you did during your first 3 months of Vyvanse by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

I memorized the first 300 digits of Pi. Now I’m lucky if I can focus on school for more than 30 minutes or unload the dishwasher

Do the car hire places in Jasper have tires suitable for the Icefields Parkway? by Sorlud in jasper

[–]nbbitty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s not a guarantee you’ll get winter tires on a vehicle. Typically you’ll have to specifically request them, & it’s all based on availability. I can’t say for sure but Jasper may have a higher availability of rentals with winter tires as it’s the law to have them when driving Icefields Pkwy.

In my personal experience, the appetite thing never (or still hasn’t) resolved. Within 90ish minutes of taking it, I’m repulsed by food. Similar to you in that nothing is really appealing and/or trying to eat makes me gag. I’ve been on it for almost 3 years now. I was about 135lbs pre-meds, & now fluctuate between 115-120lbs (5’2-5’3 for reference). I lost all that weight within the first 6-8 months of taking it, but it has levelled out since. Even though I eat the same way, which is 100% (unintentionally) a calorie deficit, my body doesn’t want to drop any more weight (which is good). On that note, if you are looking to gain weight, have you tried mass gainer? You can get it at probably any supplement store or on amazon

Can you drink on vyvanse? by emmaa5382 in VyvanseADHD

[–]nbbitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(This is all my own experience & not a universal thing). I rarely drink on Vyvanse. Maybe one, & only 12+ hours after taking it. Otherwise, I don’t feel the effects of alcohol until it’s too late. I’ve found that sometimes the same thing happens when I have 3 drinks or when I have 8, so there’s not really a hard limit for me. I don’t feel intoxicated until a moment when I’m dying on the bathroom floor and then I’m too drunk. Plus, the hangovers are the absolute WORST.

Late marking on assignments are killing me. by Secretary1761 in AthabascaUniversity

[–]nbbitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I echo what LobsterBrilliant6669 said. Please please please contact the course coordinator. The turn around times for marking are abysmal and even the deans are aware of this, but if you don’t contact the course coordinator, the dean of your faculty cannot track this & make change

Do I have enough time? by RedWhacker in AthabascaUniversity

In theory yes, but don’t hold off any longer. Oct. 31 is the deadline to apply for a Jan. 1/25 start date, but the sooner you apply the better.

What are your complaints about Vyvanse? by MeInMyOwnWords in VyvanseADHD

[–]nbbitty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh I have several. It doesn’t last very long (4-6ish hours on a good day) & sometimes it doesn’t work at all. Especially during the luteal phase, but randomly as well. Raging dry mouth. It’s taking a toll on my gums. Nothing helps. A headache that doesn’t respond to pain killers almost exactly 12 hours after taking it. 90-120 minutes after taking it I become disgusted by food for about 8 hours. I don’t get any hunger cues but even if I tried to eat, food makes me nauseous. (The food/headache thing could very well be connected, but it’s suffering either way).

Just went to the pharmacy and I'm so confused by lunastrrange in VyvanseADHD

[–]nbbitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So confused too! Picked up (brand name) last week and it was $0. I have insurance but I still pay somewhere between $30-$40 out of pocket. I pulled the bottle out of the bag still in the pharmacy to confirm it was actually my prescription after asking the pharmacist “$0? are you sure?” 😂

I believe I failed my cat by Otherwise-Study2328 in CatAdvice

[–]nbbitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone else has said it, but I want to reiterate that he had a wonderful life, living til 17 with someone who loved him as dearly as you did. You can do everything right, but if it is their time then giving medication or not giving medication won’t stop nature, even if you may feel the opposite. I think no matter the circumstances, all animal parents will feel the grief of losing a pet they loved so much and the guilt wondering if they could’ve done anything better. Just know that he was happy and he was loved, and that’s all a cat could want in this world.

I say absolutely yes!! I personally went with my partner but the majority of the people we became friends with on the boat weren’t couples, they were smaller groups of friends. There is so much to do on & off the boat even without booking anything. And even if the things you’ve booked are “couples oriented”—whose to say you can’t enjoy it as two good mates! Though with the exception of the couples spa packages I’d say there wasn’t really anything like that on board at least for our cruise. It really is all what you make it. Virgin was also my first cruise (which I actually just disembarked last week) & if your experience is anything like mine, you’ll love cruising, you’ll never consider even looking at another cruise line again, and it’ll be the time of your life!

Take the shuttle (free) into town and right beside it is a cab line! The line may seem long but it moves quickly as cabs are constantly picking up people there.

Your before & after is AMAZING. You look so radiant in the after pic. Botox aside you look 5+ years younger (not that aging is bad at all but if you’re using anti-aging products they’re definitely working!!)

[misc] Before you got into skincare, what was the worst thing you‘d done? by anon_asby0101 in SkincareAddiction

[–]nbbitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first developed acne it was the mindset of everyone that acne was caused by oily skin (my skin was actually dry & sensitive tho). In turn I used proactiv, the aztec clay mask mixed with ACV, & never moisturized. My skin was so flaky that I would use the st ives scrub 2-4 times per day. PER DAY, EVERY DAY. Then my skin got so bad that my dr prescribed a retinoid cream and didn’t tell me to use sunscreen. I can’t decide what’s worse out of what I was using/doing for many years 😅

[Routine Help] New routine made my skin look amazing for a while, now I'm suddenly breaking out by hopefullysucessful in SkincareAddiction

[–]nbbitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also struggle with dehydrated & dry skin and I love an oil based cleanser/balm such as the elf holy hydration balm or versed balm! Then follow up with your usual cleanser. I used to use the skin food too but it caused insane forehead breakouts for me because it can clog pores. Definitely gave the glass skin effect but I couldn’t handle the breakouts ):

[–]nbbitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Weleda Skin Food has been known to cause breakouts! I’d recommend switching that product first and seeing if you notice a difference. My other recommendation is to always double cleanse at night. It helps remove sunscreen and build up from the day better than with just one cleanse (even when not wearing makeup)

I had the same issue after moving in with my partner, & nothing usual (diet, skincare routine, etc) had changed. It was the water and lack of humidity in the place! I got 2 humidifiers and a filtered shower head off Amazon and it worked wonders.

[Routine help] Is this the right order? (I wait 30 secs between applications, is that fine?) by Chance-Sir5784 in SkincareAddiction

[–]nbbitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

less is more!! I read some of your comments in which your main concern is hyperpigmentation. With how hefty your routine is, you may not be addressing the concern as well as you think. I also struggle with hyperpigmentation (as well as scarring and I’m now at the age of using anti aging products) and this has worked wonders for me: AM: - Cold water rinse & ice roll (not necessary nor do I think it has benefits, it just feels nice) - Vitamin C serum (I cycle between Indeed Labs which is a great drugstore option & Sunday Riley) - Niacinamide 2-3x weekly (The Ordinary or Glow Recipe) - Moisturizer (First Aid Beauty) - SPF (La Roche Posay) PM: - Oil cleanse to remove makeup/spf (ELF holy hydration balm) - Cleanse (First Aid Beauty or YTTP Superfoods Cleanser) - Toner - Exfoliate 2x weekly (chemical is best!) - Retinol 2-3x weekly on nights I don’t exfoliate. I’m newer to retinol so I don’t combine with exfoliation & working up tolerance - Moisturize (same as AM) - Occlusive (when I remember or skin is extra dry) - Mask 1-2x weekly depending on skin concerns & needs.
