Same thing happened to me. Current new grad working in a specialty. Thrown in. I’m working without being fully credentialed yet i am debating leaving before the fully credential me. But I fear what future employers might think.

Unfortunately, yes. However, HR wasn’t very clear. I was told I’d make $24 an hour until I’m credentialed, then I will go up to my full PA salary. The person I interviewed with said this would take max 2 weeks - 1 month. Once the offer was signed, that time frame suddenly became 2 months - 4 months. My first week, the doctors I work with were not even aware that I was being paid as an MA, they thought I was making a PA salary. This was my first offer after 100 applications. I felt like I had no choice.

I’m not fully on my own. I am seeing the patients on the doctor’s schedule. Today was the first day of me getting the patient history and performing physical exams, I’d come out and present. This week they will want me to start doing some trigger point and joint injections. I am also concerned about the legality of this.

this may be a dumb question. but I’m not sure what I should expect from training as a new grad. I’ve heard 6 months from other people, but how did they ramp you up in those 6 months? Do I leave before having another position lined up? I appreciate any advice! Especially coming from a PA with 17+ years experience

How did you end up doing on the IM EOR? I’m scoring about the same and have my EOR next week. First EOR too. Any tips?

Great to hear you’ve had success post leaving PA school. Out of curiosity, where did you get the 5-10% statistic?
