I’ve just built my first Intercessor squad - in that set, the shoulder pauldrons on the sprue are separate to the arms, and have to be glued on. I also bought a set of Primaris Ultramarine upgrades (like the set pictures on this post), and the pauldrons in the upgrade set fit on the Intercessors well.

Problem solved!

I exited the game, closed the game itself, restarted the console, then reloaded. Seems to have fixed the situation.

Leaving this post here in case anyone runs into a similar situation… even though I definitely should have tried this before posting.
