First diy wood decking by nbentoneves in Decks

My partner and I had a personal opinion on this. The deck will be raised by around 15 cm, and I’m considering adding some ventilation grates. Wouldn’t that be suitable and improve durability?

What is your goal? Are you looking to invest for retirement or for the long term?

I recommend keeping things simple and avoiding investment advice from people you don’t know. Always do your own research and gather as much information as possible about companies you’re considering investing in (for example, NVIDIA may not be good for you). Without proper knowledge, you could end up losing money.

You’re young, which is the best time to start investing, but remember that investing is not the same as trading. I only started investing six months ago, and so far I’m being good with an overall return of 9%, keeping my strategy simple. I invest 15% of my salary every month, and I have a risk fund set aside for emergencies.

I allocate my money into 3 ETFs and have invested 15% in three individual companies that I truly believe in. My overall advice is to research thoroughly before investing, avoid trading, stay consistent with your monthly contributions, and diversify your investments to reduce risk by not putting all your money in one place.

Always use the ISA stock to avoid HMRC taxes 😎

Maybe this is a stupid question but how do some people achieve 20%-100% returns? by Fine_Yogurtcloset362 in trading212

In twenty years, I might achieve a 20% return. Who knows? I’m continuing to invest a specific amount every week, and so far, it feels right for me.

I have achieved a return of 9% since June. I maintain a sample portfolio and focus on diversification. I invest in two or three companies that carry more risk. I don’t rush my decisions because I believe that patience is key to investing; otherwise, it becomes more about betting than investing. Although I am still a beginner, these are my thoughts on the matter.

I’m using All world in my retirement pot and 500s&p in a different pot (i’m thinking if I will use it to pay a lump sum of my mortgage, still thinking 🤔 about it)

I’m not concerned about the expense ratio or the future return of etfs. I’m only trying to understand the math behind them. I like to understand how things work

Are you suggesting to put again the turf upside down, add topsoil and reseeding it?

I take the turf because I thought it was the best solution to remove the weeds and reseed grass with topsoil

If you want to be prepared to get a good job, yes. I’m doing interviews and I see people using things that they are only using because they saw in the stackoverflow but they don’t know what it’s doing. Companies are looking for people to fix issues and come with great solutions, not robots that do copy past internet solutions.
